1.Introduction
================================================================================
Greetings. You have found KingContributor's FAQ/Walkthrough for Kingdom Hearts.
I know I'm about six years late on this one, but I just beat Kingdom Hearts, and
I felt compelled to write this guide for it. That's how good the game was.
Kingdom Hearts was released in October of 2002 for the Playstation 2. It is an
RPG that includes a bunch of worlds that are Disney themed. It appeals to the
fans of RPGs, but it also appeals to people who love Disney movies and classics.
You play as Sora through a bunch of familiar worlds and fight alongside familiar
characters as well.
Well, that's a look at Kingdom Hearts. I hope you find this FAQ helpful among
the already 15 other walkthroughs up, but nonetheless, I'm adding my name work
up there as well. Use the email address if you need help with something, or if
you have a strategy for a boss that is better than mine. Alright, here we go.
================================================================================
2.FAQ
================================================================================
Q:What is Kingdom Hearts?
A:Kingdom Hearts is an RPG that involves a bunch of classic Disney characters
and levels. You play as a young boy named Sora who must use a Keyblade to seal
the worlds from a bunch of evil creatures called Heartless. It's a pretty fun
game that has flaws, but it's good nonetheless.
Q:How do I skip cutscenes?
A:Unfortunately, you can't. This becomes very tedious when you die a lot and
have to watch the same scene over and over. Plus, you don't really feel like
watching the cutscenes over and over again as you play through the game more
times.
Q:What's the deal with equipment and all that?
A:This can be real tricky to get. Basically, you have a bunch of commands.
Attacking is pretty straightfoward. Spells allow you to use different elements,
but you have to move the stick to the spells part. There are also shortcuts. As
for equipment, you have to go to the menu screen and manage it from there. You
can choose what you want to equip to Sora, Donald, Goofy, and any other Disney
character in your party. Also, you can do that with abilities as well.
Q:How do you save?
A:There are save points throughout the game. You'll find these green circles of
light. They are your save points. You must also go here to board the gummi ship
and customize the people in your party.
Q:What's the deal with synthesizing and all that?
A:Synthesizing is really fun. You get to break down a certain object and use it
to make something more powerful. I have a whole section on synthesizing, so
refer to that section for details.
Q:How do I fight?
A:Fighting is very important in KH. Basically, you have to lock onto the enemy
and whack them with your Key Blade using X. The finer mechanics of fighting
are described in the Battling Mechanics section for those people who are new to
RPGs and such.
Q:How do I beat this boss/level/task?
A:I wrote an FAQ for a reason. Look in it first, and if you can't find the anwer
to your question, simply email me. I would be glad to answer questions about the
game. Most of those things can be beaten by looking around and examining
everything. That usually helps with puzzles/tasks. Surprisingly, there aren't
really any hard puzzles. Just a bunch of exploration to do and figuring out the
obvious tasks laid before you, some of which, aren't so obvious.
Q:Hello, I'm from this website.....
A:Sure, I'd be happy to have you host my work on your site. Please follow the
information in the contact information and legal disclaimer section to know how
to go about getting my work on your site. NOTE: ONCE FINAL VERSION IS PUBLISHED,
I WILL NO LONGER ACCEPT REQUESTS TO HAVE THIS FAQ HOSTED. THIS WOULD CAUSE FOR
ANOTHER UPDATE, WHICH WILL NOT HAPPEN SINCE IT IS THE FINAL VERSION!!!!
THE FINAL UPDATE HAS BEEN PUBLISHED!! I NO LONGER ACCEPT REQUESTS FOR PEOPLE TO
HOST MY FAQ ON THEIR SITE!! DON'T WORRY, THERE WILL BE MORE WORK FROM ME IN THE
FUTURE. LOOK FOR CHAIN OF MEMORIES AND KINGDOM HEARTS II FAQS TO GRAB FROM HERE!

4.Characters
================================================================================
The following is taken directly from the game's manual. It is protected by its
respective copyright owners and is not, in anyway, the work of KingContributor.
Sora: Main character. Age 14. As a teenager he has his share of concerns, but he
manages to keep an upbeat attitude. He may seem simple-minded at times, but he
has a strong sense of justice.
Goofy: Captain of the royal knights, a soldier who despises weapons. Under the
king's orders, he accompanies Donald on the quest to find the key. An easy
going, clumsy knight.
Donald Duck: Court wizard and loyal servant to the king. He embarks on a journey
to carry out the missing king's orders: to find a mysterious "key" and it's
owner. A feisty, impatient magician.
Riku: Age 15. He may seem cool and collected for his age, but he is far from the
quiet type. Always curious about the unknown, he begins to question the small,
closed world in which he lives.
Kairi: Age 14. She moved to Sora and Riku's island a few years ago. Though she
may appear delicate, she possesses a strong, unyielding will.
Heartless: Mysterious beings that hunt Sora relentlessly. Many types of
Heartless exist.
================================================================================
5.Walkthrough
================================================================================
Here it is, the prime beef of the guide. This will, obviously, cover the game's
story from the beginning of Destiny Islands, all the way to End of the World.
Remember, if you have any strategies or things I've missed, please email me with
detailed description on what I missed. I will add it to the FAQ with full credit
to you of course. Let's press forward. NOTE: WALKTHROUGH DOES NOT COVER THE LONG
OPENING CUTSCENE!!
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
A.Awakening
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Once the opening cutscene is over, you will find yourself on a Snow White drawn
platform. There is so much to do and little time. Don't worry, the door is still
shut, the game urges you to not be afraid and step forward. After reading the
explanation on how to move, step forward. Three platforms will rise out of the
platform. On them are a sword, shield, and staff. Each of these items represents
a certain kind of power. You will be prompted to choose one and give up another.
Sword: Gives you strength
Staff: Wisdom and magic
Shield: Defense.
Personally, I would take the staff and give up the sword, but it's your call.
Just be aware that whatever you choose and give up, this will affect the
abilities you learn. Following the instructions given after, use Circle to jump
to the power you want. Once you confirm the form you chose, the platfrom will
shatter into pieces.
After a bit of falling, you will end up on the Cinderella platform. It will tell
you you've gained the power to fight and provide an explanation on what button
to press. Do so, and it will go on to explain the HP and MP gauges that are on
the bottom right of the screen. Suddenly, a bunch of black creatures will pop
out of the platform and attack. These guys are one form of many Heartless you
will be fighting. Teach them a lesson and defeat them. You will be told about
experience and items that enemies drop. More Heartless will appear, and the game
then explains the targeting system. Defeat them, and you'll be sucked into
darkness and fall on another platform.
This one has a door directly across from you. Approach it to learn about the
field icon that will appear on any objects that can be targeted. Select Examine
to have Sora attempt to open the door. A chest will then appear. Approach the
chest to learn about the ? Command which can turn into various commands. Select
open, and a large crate will appear with an explanation of pushing crates. Push
the crate to trigger a smashing crates explanation. Smash it to learn about
items. Pick up the Potion and learn how to select items. Don't you just love
RPGs and their explanations? The door will light up and produce a barrel with
another text explanation. Lock onto the barrel and smash it to cause the door to
light up. Finally, proceed forward and open it by using Examine.
You are now outside. The game wants you to tell it about yourself by answering
three questions. You will get these questions by talking to Tidus, Selphie, and
Wakka. The way you answer these questions affects the abilities you learn. After
you answer the questions, you'll be given some story text and sent to the next
platform.
Sleeping Beauty's platform requires some action. After learning about pausing
the game, a bunch of Hearless will appear. Let's get rid of these creepy things
already. Once they are gone, a save point will appear with another explanation.
A path will appear from the platform. Save your game, and ascend up the path.
You are now at the Beauty and the Beast platform where your first official fight
will begin. You must fight your own shadow, or Darkside as it's called. Good
luck, but you won't have too much trouble. He's a piece of cake. Then again, he
is the first boss.
%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%
% Boss Fight: Darkside %
% HP 240 EXP 18 %
%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%
Darkside is pretty easy, but you can lose to him, so be extremely careful. To
start of the fight, Darkside will summon a ball of energy and punch his hand
into the platform. This causes a swirl of darkness that can bring out Heartless.
While he is summoning his dark energy, smack his hands and ignore the Heartless
for now. Once he brings his hands back up, attack the Heartless while waiting
for an available target. Darkside has two targets, hands and head. His hands are
the easiest target, as they are the ones you have access to the most.
Another attack of his is to shoot energy beams from his chest. He will get down
on his knees and shoot beams from his chest. While he is doing this, avoid them,
and hit his hands as they are launching. Be sure to avoid the beams, as they are
very annoying and cause unnecessary damage.
One final thing you might see is him lay his head down. This may or may not
happen during this particular fight, but he does do it some of the others. This
is just an easy way for you to attack his head. He doesn't do anything while
laying his head down.
Okay, so those are the three major things you have to look out for in this
fight. In other fights against him, new things may be added. Just keep striking
whatever target is available until you beat him.
%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%
Darkside will create a void of darkness that Sora will be sucked into. There is
some more game text, and you are finally at the first level. Man, don't you
just love how RPGs treat you like you are stupid?
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
B.Destiny Islands
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Sora wakes up on a beach with Kairi standing over him. After a bit of exchanged
dialogue between them, you will finally be able to start exploring. This takes
you to day 1 of the three day Destiny Islands.
**************************
*Day 1: Building the Raft*
**************************
Well, according to the scene dialogue, Sora, Riku, and Kairi want to see other
worlds and plan on using it to go see other worlds. Kairi says you have to find
some supplies for her. She wants two logs, one cloth, and one rope. These are
the materials you must find. You can also mess around on the island and gain
some experience too. Okay, let's get supply hunting.
Logs-The first log you will come across is right on the seashore. It's not too
far from where you go to talk to Kairi. Right near that location is a wooden
shed type building. Jump up to there by getting to higher ground, and cross the
bridge to where Riku is. Your second log is lying on the island he's on.
Cloth-Head back to the wooden shed and go up the ramps near it. Next, proceed
right and take the path that winds up around the tree. Eventually, you'll come
to an opening where a cloth his hanging on the wall. Grab it.
Rope-Remember the junction you came to that had the path to the treehouse and
the ladder to the left? Well, take that ladder and follow the bridge until you
see Wakka swinging his sword. Near him is the rope you will need.
Take the items back to Kairi for a Hi-Potion. She will ask you if you are ready
to call it a day. Don't do so just yet because you can fight a couple of the
residents on Destiny Islands for some EXP and possible leveling up. Well, since
Riku is closer, we'll go fight him first. Head to the island that Riku is one
and talk to him. You will be given an option of fighting him.
%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%
% Mini Boss: Riku %
% HP: None Exp: 5 %
%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%
This is a pretty tough fight, but it is possible to defeat Riku at this stage in
the game. With Riku, you can't attack him directly because he's super fast and
has great endurance. Also, he'll freqenly jump into the air and try and strike
you with his sword.
When Riku jumps in the air and strikes, dodge quickly and try and get a good hit
or two. You might have to repeat this process a couple of times. Also, move out
of the way when Riku falls because he can kick himself back up and hit you,
which causes a lot of damage. The main thing with this battle is strategy and
careful planning. Go after Riku when you have an open opportunity, but don't try
to directly rush at him.
If you are having trouble with this battle, jump around a lot. You can jump and
dodge Riku's attacks. If he stands still and taunts you, there is a good chance
that your blows will not work. If you hit him and no damage is given, step away
from him because he will unleash a massive sword strike. That's all you really
can do. Good luck with this battle because you get 5 EXP and a potion for being
the victor.
IMPORTANT NOTE!!! DON'T FALL OFF OF THE ISLAND YOU ARE BATTLING ON, OR YOU'LL
LOSE THE FIGHT AUTOMATICALLY. TRY AND STAY IN THE CENTER OF THE ISLAND!!!
%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%
Once you are done fighting Riku to your heart's content, you have another person
that you can take on. Remember Wakka where you got the rope? Well, you can
challenge him too. Let's go and kick his butt. Remember, he's in the same area
that you got the rope at.
%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%
% Mini Boss: Tidus %
% HP: None EXP: 2 %
%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%
Tidus is pretty easy. He's fast like Riku and isn't afraid to charge you, but he
is so much weaker. You'll want to jump and dodge his fast assaults, but you
don't want to jump directly over him because his staff will still hit you. If
you run from him for a little while, he'll get mad and pause. That's your chance
to lay some serious smackdown on him. And that's about it. Rinse and repeat
until you beat the brat.
%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%
Okay, now that you beat Wakka, let's move to the docks and talk to Selphie. She
is also someone you can duel against for ExP and battle practice.
%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%
% Mini Boss: Selphie %
% HP: None EXP: 1 %
%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%
If you thought Wakka was easy, you haven't fought Selphie. Oh my god, she is
easy as hell. She runs around with a whip and will frequently toss it at you. If
you swing your sword as she's swinging the whip, you'll get a tech and some
points. If you hear her talk, she''s ready to swing the whip at you. Just run at
her, strike, and parry the whip. There you go, Selphie is defeated.
%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%
From the docks, head over to Tidus who is on the seashore. You also have the
option of dueling him. Tidus is the hardest of the three you have to beat other
than Riku, so here we go.
%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%
% Mini Boss: Wakka %
% HP: None EXP: 1 %
%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%
Wakka is more difficult than the kids, so listen up. He has this ball that he
lobs at you. This can do sufficient amount of damage and cause you to lose. Here
is a simple strategy. When he lobs the ball at you, hit the ball and send it
back at him. This wil daze him and allow you to hit him with your sword. Keep
chasing him and striking him. He also can give you a really good sucker punch if
you get too close, so be on the lookout. There you go, you just beat Tidus.
%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%
Alright, that's all you can do for now. Go talk to Kairi and call it a day. This
will trigger a cutscene with dialogue between Riku, Kairi, and Sora. Then, there
is another cutscene with Donald Duck going to visit King Micky. Uh-oh, he's not
there. AHA! Pluto has a note. After scanning it, Donald runs out quacking. More
cutscene and hilarity ensues, and it is then time for day 2 on Destiny Islands.
*******************************
*Day 2: Hunting for Provisions*
*******************************
Alright, day 2. You guys need food for the trip to other worlds, so Kairi is
going to have you do a little food hunting. Remember where Kairi was standing?
Well, there is a doorway there that leads to the back of the island. This is
where you need to be.
OPTIONAL FIGHTING ALERT!! BEFORE HEADING TO THE BACK OF THE ISLAND, HEAD TO
WHERE RIKU WAS TO FIND TIDUS. YOU WILL BE ABLE TO CHALLENGE HIM, SELPHIE, AND
WAKKA AT THE SAME TIME. THIS IS OPTIONAL, BUT IT'S GOOD TO PRACTICE AND GAIN
EXP!!!
%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%
% Mini Boss: Wakka, Selphie, Tidus %
% HP: None EXP: 4 %
%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%
This battle is much harder because you have three people coming after you all at
the same time. They all have the same strength as before, so you should take
them out accordingly.
I recommend that you first start with Tidus, since he's the hardest of all of
them. Use the same strategy as before. Jump around and dodge until he pauses.
Strike when you can, and try to match his speed/agility.
Next, take out Selphie. Bring her down by continually striking her and parrying
the whip that she lashes at you.
The battle is cake once it's just you and Wakka. Send the balls flying back at
him like you did, and strike without mercy.
NOTE: USE POTIONS AS NEEDED!! YOU SHOULD HAVE ACCUMULATED A COUPLE TO USE IF
YOU ARE HAVING TROUBLE WITH THIS BATTLE!!
%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%
Now that you pwned those three n00bs, it's time to talk to Kairi. Head to the
area you first met her in and head through the door. This takes you to the cove.
Before heading to Kairi, stop to talk to Riku. He asks you what you would name
the raft. Put your answer in, and he will disagree. He will then challenge you
to a race. Winner gets to have his name for the raft and share a Paopu with
Kairi <_<.
For the race, you have to tag the star and head back. Head across the briges and
ignore the tower with the ladder. Run past the raft and up the slope. Hop across
the gaps and tag the tree. Jump down, head past the raft, go up to the higher
bank, and cross the platforms. Victory will be yours. Also, you'll get a pretty
stone for your efforts.
Alright, now it's time to go talk to Kairi to get the food for the journey. Head
over to the raft to get the list you need. Kairi wants one Seagull Egg, three
Mushrooms, two Coconuts, three Fish, and drinking water that is not from the
ocean. Okay, you have your
Mushrooms-Okay, two of the Mushrooms you are looking for are in the Cove area.
Near Kairi, there is a passage that is blocked by a stone. Push the stone aside
to find your first Mushroom. The second Mushroom is in the shade on the bank
that the passage is in. To find the third Mushroom, you'll have to out to the
Seashore. If you speak to Wakka, he talks about a cave that him and Tidus are
going to explore. That's where you want to head. Grab the Mushroom and watch the
Cutscene.
Fresh Drinking Water-When you exit the cave with the Mushroom, there should be
a spring right outside. Walk into the waterfall to fill the bottle with fresh
drinking water.
Fish-The Fish are pretty easy to get. Out on the shore by the beach, the water
contains the three fish you will need. Just swim through the water into each of
the fish to collect them.
Seagull Egg-Right near the waterfall where you got the Drinking Water is that
wooden shed. Jump to the high bank above the shed and climb the nearest tree.
You will find the Seagull Egg up there.
Coconuts-Hit the tree that had the Seagull Egg on it until a yellow Coconut
falls from it. Next, head across the bridge to the isle you fought Riku on. You
will have to hit another tree to get another yellow Coconut. Hit the palm tree
closest to the bridge to get the last Coconut.
Alright, that does it. You have sucessfully found all the items. Take them back
to Kairi to get another Hi-Potion. Since you have fought all optional battles at
this point, you can call it a day.
Well, it's another long cutscene. It first opens with Sora and Kairi spending
some time together on the docks talking. Awww, isn't that sweet? They're bonding
with each other. The next cutscene goes back to the castle, and it reveals the
contents of King Micky's letter to Donald. Then, there's some more conversation
between Donald, Goofy, Queen Minnie, and Princess Daisy.
*************************
*Day 3: Darkness Awakens*
*************************
A storm is hovering over the island. Sora leaves to find the island crawling
with Heartless. Just ignore these guys for now because you can't defeat them
with your Wood Sword. Instead, head to the island where you fought Riku. Riku is
different now. He isn't afraid of the darkness and allows it to take him. Sora
goes to go with him, but there is an explosion of light that scatters the
darkness. Sora is now holding a key. The game will say Keyblade twice, and you
have to do some fighting. You can now defeat the Heartless that are scurrying
around.
At this point, feel free to level up and defeat as many Heartless as you can
handle. When you are ready, head to the secret place that you found the Mushroom
in. There will be a white door in front of the entrance this time. Inside,
you'll find Kairi, but a wave of darkness suddenly thrusts open the door and
whisks you outsid. You are now within a whirling vortex of darkness. Oh look,
it's Darkside again. Well, he's pretty much the same as the last fight, so I'll
repost the strategy for you. Also, check out the boss section if you want to
look at any of the bosses without scrolling through the text.

%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%
After the battle, Sora will be sucked into the giant ball of darkness over the
island. It's cutscene time. Donald and Goofy have reached their destination. Oh
no, a star has gone out of the sky. Did you happen to notice that we are in a
different town?
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
C.Traverse Town
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Sora wakes up to a wagging tail and smiling face. Pluto has managed to bring
Sora out of his sleep. He'll run off and leave Sora standing there. Alright,
time to start exploring the new town. The first thing you want to do is head out
of the allyway to the center of the First District. After Sora talks to himself,
enter the Accessory Shop directly behind you and talk to Cid. Once you do, jump
up to the treasure chest for a Mythril Shard, and then exit the Accessory Shop.
Next, you'll want to go around the shop and head to door back there that leads
to the Second District.
*****************
*Second District*
*****************
Upon entering the Second District, a man will stumble in front of you and lose
his heart. After diseappearing, a Heartless appears and then leaves. Now, you
have to fight a couple of Heartless. Once you defeat them, head into the Hotel
to see Donald and Goofy enter the area. Exit the Hotel on the other side and
defeat the Heartless. Next enter the Gizmo Shop. Out come Donald and Goofy from
the Hotel.
Defeat the Heartless inside the Gizmo Shop. There are a lot of Heartless, so
just keep battling until they are gone. Exit the shop and go to the square. You
will have more Heartless to defeat. You don't necessarily have to fight them,
but I recommend you do because it is one step closer to leveling up, which is
very important in this game. Once you are done, back up, beat the Heartless, and
then take the door to the First District.
****************
*First District*
****************
Here, beat the Hearless and enter the Accessory Shop. Once you exit, you'll hear
a voice out of nowhere. It's Squall {Leon}. He doesn't understand why the
Keyblade chose a kid, and he wants it. Well, he's pulling out his sword, so that
sounds like a challenge to me.
%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%
% Boss Battle: Squall {Leon} %
% HP: 120 EXP: 30 %
%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%
Whew, Leon's quite a toughy. You can beat him, but prepare to go through some
Potions and experience some pain. Leon has two basic attacks.
For his basic attack, Leon will rely on his sword. He will walk after you and
strike, or he will shoot a fire blast that he charges up. When you see it start
to form, jump out of the way, and you can easily dodge it.
To beat Leon, I suggest a maneuver similar to fighting Riku. Jump a lot to make
his sword miss you a lot, and strike when you have an open target. Leon's
attacks do a lot of damage, so you may be required to heal. Don't stand in one
spot while healing, or you will die by an attack. For this battle, stay moving
and don't let your guard down for even a second.
%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%
*****************
*Second District*
*****************
Now, we have another cutscene with Leon, Sora, and Yuffie. Sora faints after the
intense battle. The scene shifts to Donald and Goofy who are encountered by
Aerith. More cutscene shows Sora waking up with Kairi staring him in the face;
however, it's actually Yuffie. More dialogue. We learn that the Heartless are
tracking Sora due to the Keyblade. Now, we shift to Donald and Goofy. They learn
that the worlds are connected. Back to Sora and Leon. Now, Donald and Goofy. Now
Sora and Leon. Then back to Donald and Goofy. Okay, that's enough with the scene
commentary. We are moving on to the next area.
Once the cutscene is over, save your game, examine the chest, and then talk to
Leon to learn that the Keyblade can open any lock. Head back to the chest and
open it for an Elixir. Now, head back and talk to Leon. Tell him you are ready.
A quick cutscene happens where a Heartless invades. Yuffie and Aerith run, while
Sora and Leon take action. Donald is shocked at the suddeness of the door being
thrown in his face.
Once you are outside, ignore what Leon says and fight the Heartless for EXP.
Head the direction Leon went for a Potion. Then, go the opposite way toward the
Secret Waterway to fight more Heartless. Finally, head back in the direction
that Leon went and enter the Second District. Fight some Heartless and keep
battling them as you head towards the center of the square. From the center of
the square, head east and follow the path through. More Heartless. Fight them
and enter the door to the Third District.
****************
*Third District*
****************
Walk forward to initiate a cutscene where Donald and Goofy meet Sora. There's a
rumbling sound, and bunch of Heartless appear. Time to kick some ass. Beat up
all the Heartless with your two new party members. Once they are all gone, a
bunch of parts will fall from the sky and assemble into a robotic Heartless.
Sora, Donald, and Goofy, meet Guard Armor.
%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%
% Boss Battle: Guard Armor %
% HP: 700 EXP: 110 %
%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%
Woah nelly, the first official boss. Too bad he's not that tough. Okay, so Guard
Armor consists of a bunch of parts, right? Well, that's how you defeat him. By
getting rid of his parts one by one. To start off the battle, Whack him around a
bit until he comes apart a bit. Whatever parts come off, attack them to make
them disappear. His attacks are dependent upon the various parts that he uses;
however, there are no gimmicks. He straight up hits you with his parts. This
shouldn't be too hard a fight, but healing may be necessary. Donald Duck can
heal you, but don't rely too heavily on him.
%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%
Right, so Guard Armor disappears, and you obtain Brave Warrior. Well, there's
another cutscene where Donald, Goofy, and Sora join together. You gotta love all
these cutscenes <_<. Oh no, not another one. Yup. This time, there are villains
plotting. DUN DUN DUUUUUUUUUUUUUUN!!Yay....darn. More text to scroll through.
The good news is, you learn some magic. Donald Duck is nice enough to give Fire.
You also learn the ability Dodge Roll. Wasn't that sweet of Goofy, the moron?
Once you are done, leave through the gate, or the world exit. We are moving on
to the next world.
NOTE: THERE ARE SOME TREASURES HERE THAT CAN BE COLLECTED, BUT I WON'T LIST THEM
UNTIL A LATER RETURN TO TRAVERSE TOWN, SINCE YOU COME BACK HERE MANY TIMES. WE
ARE GOING TO MOVE ON FOR NOW!!
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
D.Wonderland
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Ah, Alice in Wonderland, a true classic. Anyway, the level begins with a
cutscene. The rabbit is running around saying how late he is. Follow the rabbit
and enter the door. He'll go through a tiny door.
*************
*Rabbit Hole*
*************
Walk up to the door to initiate a dialogue. Sora learns that a bottle will make
him smaller. Notice the bed in the corner? Well, push that out of the way to
reveal a hole. Now, go to the table and drink the blue potion to become smaller.
Defeat the Heartless and head through the passageway.
****************
*Queen's Castle*
****************
Enter to initiate a cutscene. There is a trial going on. The Queen of Hearts is
accusing Alice of being a culprit for trying to steal the Queen of Hearts'
heart. Sora will butt in. The queen asks Sora to find proof and then report back
to her. *Sigh* stubborn bitch. Fine, here we go. Head left and enter the
passage.
**************
*Lotus Forest*
**************
Another cutscene. A strange purple creature pops up and speaks to Sora in
riddles. There are four pieces of evidence you must find. Alright, so let's
start looking shall we? Defeat the Heartless and start exploring the forest. In
a area to the right, you will find a Blue Trinity that you can access. Do so to
make items rain down. One of the things that rain down is a box that contains
Footprints, one of the pieces of evidence.
Head through and defeat some more Heartless. You'll come to the end of the Lotus
Forest, from what it appears. Enter the area, and jump onto the mushroom. Next,
jump to the green mushroom to find Antenna.
From the green mushroom, head left and jump to another set of mushrooms. This
leads to a chest that contains Dalmations 16, 17, 18. Head back to the beginning
of the Lotus Forest and examine the yellow flower. It wants a potion to make you
bigger. Give it a potion. Now that you are big, step on the tree stump to make
it lower. Now, examine the apple, pick it, and eat it to become smaller.
Use the Mushrooms near the trinity you used and go to the Mushrooms you just
raised by the stump. Go through the door to the Bizaar Room. From the faucet,
jump to the ledge that has a box on it. Open it for Claw Marks. Well, it looks
like the strange creature is back. He gives you Blizzard, an ice spell. Now,
jump back down and re-enter the Lotus Forest.
Now, go back to the Mushrooms near the trinity you activated and enter the other
area that leads again to the Bizaar Room. Open the box for Stench.
Congradualations, you have all the evidence. Head back from the Bizaar Room to
the Queen's Castle.
****************
*Queen's Castle*
****************
Head up to the Queen's floor and talk to one of the guards. He'll ask if you are
ready to present the evidence. Say yes. The queen will demand to see what you've
found. She will take the four boxes, and one will be added. Rather than let
check all five, you have to open one. Be careful. A battle is coming up, and you
could have to face it without Donald, Goofy, or both. Good luck in checking a
box. Select a box and pray that Donald/Goofy are not involved in anyway. No
matter what you pick, the queen will call her guards after you. All right, time
to stop this stubborn monarchy.
%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%
% Boss Battle: Cards/Tower %
% HP: None EXP: 100 %
%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%
This battle is incredibly easy. You don't even have to bother with the cards as
they don't have an HP amount. Your target is the tower. Whack it with your
Keyblade until you destroy it. I will point out, however, that whacking the
cards does cause them to become dazed. Either way, this is really easy. You
might need a potion if things get out of hand, but you shouldn't have to worry
too much.
%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%
The cage falls, and Alice is missing. She's been kidnapped! Time to go back into
the Lotus Forest.
**************
*Lotus Forest*
**************
Oh great, that creature again. Well, he says to go deeper into the forest.
Right, anyway, defeat the Heartless who are getting stronger now. Remember the
area way in the back with the Mushrooms? Well, that's your next destination. If
you head right in there, you'll find a passage that leads to the Tea Party
Garden. Ignore the Truffles, as they disappear right away without giving
experience.
******************
*Tea Party Garden*
******************
This is just a small area really. Not much to do in here. However, there is a
door that leads to the Bizaar Room, so you'll want to head thorugh there.
*************
*Bizaar Room*
*************
Surprise, it's the purple cat again. He tells you to try turning on the light in
order to find the hidden shadows. Alright, his riddles are really annoying.
Anyway, you'll have some Heartless to defeat. This clears the room to make your
task more easy. Once they are gone, jump onto one of the two tables and touch
the lamp to light it.
The purple cat appears and tells you to light one more lamp. Alright, let's do
it. Jump to the table he appeared on and touch the lamp to light it. He
reappears and states that all the lights are on and that you will be able to see
the shadows soon.
There is a shortcut to the Queen's Castle that you can take from the Bizaar
Room, or you can head through the Lotus Forest to find any treasures you might
have missed. The shorcut leads to a chest that contains Dalmations 13, 14, 15 in
it. Jump down and go into the Lotus Forest.
**************
*Lotus Forest*
**************
Well, there really isn't much to do storywise in here, but you can find
treasures by using the Mushrooms to reach higher places, and you can give items
to the flowers for better items. Some treasures are out of reach, so we may have
to come back for them once we learn new abilities. Anyway, let's go back to the
Queen's Castle.
****************
*Queen's Castle*
****************
Not much to do here. Now would be a good time to save your progress because you
will heal and have a save point for a boss. This guy can be tricky, so healing/
saving is always nice. Once you are ready, head to the Bizarre Room.
**************
*Bizarre Room*
**************
The purple cat is here, and he tells you that you need a better view from higher
up. Jump up to the table using the chair. Talk to the cat, and he'll ask if you
are prepared for the worst. Well, here comes the shadow he's bee speaking of.
It's Trickmaster! Alright, let's kick his ass already.
%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%
% Boss Battle: Trickmaster %
% HP: 600 EXP: 150 %
%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%
Well, this battle is semi-easy, but Trickmasters has a few tricks {pun intended}
up his sleeve that can cause you some trouble. First off, he can be attacked in
a certain place. His feet are practically invulnerable to any attacks you may
unleash. Well, you'll have to get higher up and attack his vulnerable head.
Alright, so get up on the table and wait until Trickmaster gets a little closer.
Once he does, you have two options. You can use Fire or Blizzard at his head, or
you can lunge at him from the table and smack around his head. Any method is
fine, but I prefer the good old fashioned charging.
Once you smack his head a bit, he will explode with healing and magic orbs and
fall to the ground. This is your chance to get on the ground level and start
hitting his weak point. He will only be down for about 5-10 seconds, so make
sure you get in some good rounds.
Trickmaster will eventually start to play dirty. He will destroy the table or
chair in the room which prevents you from getting higher up to his head. When
this happens, you'll have to get close to him and jump. As you jump, whip out
your Keyblade and attempt to hit him in the head. Keep watching for the chair
or table to come back, so you'll be able to get to your vantage point again.
You've probably noticed the two wooden clubs he is holding in his hands. Well,
they become engulfed in flames once he gets low on HP. This is a problem because
his fire is a pain in the ass. If you jump into it by using the lunge strategy,
you'll obviously get hurt, and if you didn't know that, congradulations on
failing the first grade. Anyway, you may want to stick to spellcasting Blizzard
or fire at his head, or if you are daring {and stupid enough}, you could lunge
at him and try to smack him without getting hit.
Trickmaster can be tricky at some parts, and you should definitely heal when
needed. Don't be ashamed to heal on the first boss. I'm pretty sure a lot of
veteran fighters heal on this boss, they just don't want to admit it. Anyway,
he'll die eventually. Just remember the two strategies. You have the guerilla
lunge assault from the table, and you have the OMFG, I'm gonna cast spells
because I don't liek teh fire!!111!!!. Just remember these two strategies, and
you are in good shape.
%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%
Alright, you've done it. The Ifrit's Horn is your prize. The doorknob wakes up
and yawns after talking. Look, there's a keyhole in his mouth. Sora's Keyblade
goes haywire and shoots a stream of light into it. Well, it disappears, so
Wonderland is now locked. Oh look, you get a Navi-G Piece for the Gummi Ship.
The purple cat praises you on being a hero and informs you that Alice was taken
by the Heartless. Alright, you're back in the Rabbit Hole at the save point. You
can access the Gummi Ship from there. Also, note the green Trinity Mark behind
the save point and remember that. Alright, you can leave now.
Once you are at the world selection screen, pick the one with the highest battle
level. The lower battle leveled one is actually harder than the high one, so we
are going to Deep Jungle.
When we approach our destination, Donald and Sora will get into a dispute over
the navigation of the Gummi Ship. Sora will take control and fly it into Deep
Jungle. Slight problem, however. THEY'RE FALLING!!!
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
E.Deep Jungle
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Right, so Sora falls from the sky and lands in a treehouse. Donald and Goofy are
nowhere to be found, but a sabor tooth tiger is there ready to lunch on you.
Let's beat this beast before it eats us.
%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%
% Boss Battle: Sabor Tooth Tiger %
% HP: None EXP: 15 %
%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%
You will encounter the Sabor Tooth Tiger several times throughout this level.
This guy lunges a lot and bites, so be on your guard and dodge freqently. Don't
forget, you have dodge roll, so this may be helpful when dodging the tiger. You
can do two things. Directly attack it close up with the Keyblade, or cast spells
at it from a distance. While the second method isn't as damaging as the first,
it is definitely safer. In anycase, he shouldn't be too difficult. Remember, use
potions as needed. Although, save some potions for later. You'll have a
challenging fight later in the level.
%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%
The tiger lunges, but Tarzan jumps in and stops the tiger. He'll run off and
escape. A cutscene ensues with dialogue between Tarzan and Sora. Eventually, he
will join your party. Another cutscene with Donald and Goofy. Play time.
From the treehouse, jump off the ledge onto the net. Jump from there to reach an
area surrounded by trees. There is a save point if you wish to save your game.
Next, jump into the tree trunk. In the next tree, you are sliding down a long
trunk. Jump over any branches in the way or clear them with your Keyblade. You
will eventually reach the bottom of the trunk. This leads to the Campsite.
**********
*Campsite*
**********
Alright, you'll be at the camp. All you have to do, right now, is enter the
orange tent to initiate another cutscene. This one will feature Jane and Clayton
the hunter. You'll get a Protect-G piece and Donald and Goofy back. You'll have
to organize your party. I recommend leaving Goofy out since he's the highest
level. You'll want Tarzan for his power, but Donald needs to be in for healing.
Once your party is set, save, open the chest for a Mythril Shard, and exit the
tent. You'll have six slides you have to find.
Slides-okay, you have six to find. Please note that this isn't the numerical
order of the slides. It doesn't matter what order you collect them in. Here
we go. The first slide is on a pile of boxes directly in front of the tent.
From there, jump on the tent to get the next slide. Head left and jump to the
tent tops. Cross them and get the third slide when you come to the end.
Backtrack back to the top of the orange tent and head right this time. You'll
find a fourth slide next to a diagram of a gorilla on a black board. Over by the
lab instruments, you'll find a blue Trinity Mark. Remember the tent tops you
went across to get a slide? Well, there's a fifth slide underneath those tent
tops. Only one more to find. Proceed to the right side of the orange tent
{facing forward from the center view} and grab the final slide on the boxes.
Once you have the six slides, you can take them back in the tent right away, or
you can look for the two recipe cards.
Recipe Cards-The first recipe card is by the grandfather clock. Examine the box
to get the first one. It tells you to light the stove careful. Head to the stove
and use Fire on it. The second recipe card tells you to put the potion in the
pot quickly. Go back to the stove and do so to get a Hi-Potion.
Research Notes: By examining different things, you'll find research notes on how
to make ingredients. To make an ether, put a potion in and ice it for
replication. You've completed the experiment and obtained some useful items.
Once you are done exploring the Campsite area, head back into the tent and
examine the camera to put the slides in. You might have to talk to Jane first in
order to be able to. Once you are able to examine the camera, the slides will be
put in. You'll scan through a bunch of images and then initiate a cutscene.
Alright, time to go see the gorillas. Once you exit the tent, it's another Sabor
encounter. I'll repost the strategy for you.

Once you defeat the Sabor Tooth Tiger, head to Hippos' Lagoon. This is the way
you want to go to find the gorillas. Do not follow the Sabor, as he is heading
into the Bamboo Thicket. Take the other path.
****************
*Hippos' Lagoon*
****************
As soon as you arrive, climb up the vines on the wall to reach the Vines area.
This is the upper portion of Hippos' Lagoon. Okay, you'll be instructed on how
to swing through the vines. Save your game. There really isn't much up here, but
saving your game is always good. Head back down and jump across the hippo.
Jump the gaps to the next hippo and use him to reach the other side. You've come
to your last hippo. Jump to the hippo and get a good jump to the other side.
Once you've reached the other side, open the chest for Dalmations 25, 26, 27.
Then, climb the vine to initiate a cutscene. Tarzan begs Kerchak to listen to
him. Kerchak walks away leaving Tarzan standing there. After some Sora/Donald
text boxes, the scene is over.
Okay, so now we are in the Vine areas of Hippos' Lagoon. Before heading up the
vine to the Climbing Trees, swing across the vines to the other side and open
the chest for Dalmations 28, 29, 30. Head back over and climb the vine to the
Climbing Trees.
****************
*Climbing Trees*
****************
Okay, so there's not a lot to do here. However, there is a Blue Trinity mark in
front of the area to the Tree House. If Sora, Donald, and Goofy aren't in your
party, don't worry because you'll be coming back up here later. Take the passage
to the Tree House.
************
*Tree House*
************
Another cutscene ensues. That ass Clayton is trying to fire at a gorilla. Donald
runs up and scares him which makes him miss the shot. Tarzan begs Kerchak, and
Clayton tries to worm his way out of attempting to kill the gorilla. Well,
that's about it up here. Nothing much to see up here. Jump down to the net and
look under the Tree House to find a chest on a ledge. Climb up it using the net,
and open the chest for a Mega Potion. Trust me, this will help you later. You'll
see a chest in a suspended boat that you cannot reach. There is an ability that
will allow you to get over to it later, but not yet. Jump down the ledge, down
the net, and down the trunk to go sliding again.
**********
*Campsite*
**********
Head into the tent to initiate a cutscene. Jane is pissed with Clayton and tells
him to stay away from the gorillas. Well, it's five against one, so you lose.
Clayton leaves and vows to hunt down all the gorillas. Suddenly, he here's
something in the thick trees and fires his shotgun. The shot is heard in the
tent. At this point, put Goofy back into the party via save point. You're coming
up to some Trinities that you can activate at this stage. Exit the tent to find
Heartless in the form of monkeys. Defeat all the Heartless, and save the gorilla
for a Protect-G. Now, head for the Bamboo Thicket.
****************
*Bamboo Thicket*
****************
Well, we have more Heartless. Defeat them to save the gorilla and get a Fire-G.
Alright, time to head to the Cliff.
*******
*Cliff*
*******
More Heartless to fight. You'll save another gorilla and get an Aeroga-G. Before
leaving the Cliff, climb up the ledges and climb the vine. You find two
treasures. One is a Mega Potion, and the other is a Mythril Shard. Head back
through the Bamboo Thicket and battle the Heartless. Then, go to the Camp and
fight the Heartless there.
**********
*Campsite*
**********
From the Camp, defeat the Hearless and go to Hippos' Lagoon. Don't forget about
the Trinity at the Camp for a treasure. Open it for Dalmations 34, 35, 36. Now,
head to Hippos' Lagoon.
****************
*Hippos' Lagoon*
****************
Right, you know the drill. Jump across the hippos and the gaps to reach the vine
on the other side. This will take you to the Vine Section of Hippos' Lagoon.
Climb the vine to the Climbing Trees.
****************
*Climbing Trees*
****************
More Heartless to battle. Don't let them get the better of you. Once you beat
them, the gorilla will give you another Aeroga-G. Complete the Trinity for
Dalmations 31, 32, 33. Now, head up to the Tree House.
************
*Tree House*
************
Inside the Tree House are more Heartless. Let's get rid of em. The gorilla will
give you a Shell-G. Okay, that's it. You helped the gorillas. Time to leave the
Tree House. You know what to do. Ride down to the Camp using the trunk slide.
Man, I love this part of Deep Jungle.
**********
*Campsite*
**********
Alright, there's some Truffles here at the camp. Ignore them. This time, you'll
want to enter the orange tent again. Come out of the tent again to hear a shot
fired. If you want, you can go back in the tent and put Tarzan back in your team
{recommended}. Also, bring out some potions to use. Preparing is good. Once you
defeat the Heartless, head to the Bamboo Thicket.
****************
*Bamboo Thicket*
****************
A cutscene initiates where Sora sees something of Clayton's on a stump. All of
a sudden, he is ambushed by a Sabor Tooth Tiger. *Sigh* these are getting really
tiresome. Alright, here's the strategy...again.

NOTE: SABOR IS MUCH HARDER THIS TIME. BRING LOTS OF HEALERS AND WATCH OUT WHEN
HE GOES INTO THE JUNGLE AND WARPS OUT. THE WHITE FANG IS YOUR ITEM ONCE YOU
CLAIM VICTORY OVER THIS SAVAGE BEAST!!!
%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%
Once you beat him, a cutscene will begin where Jane and a gorilla are trapped in
the tent with a bunch of Heartless surrounded outside. Oh crap, Heartless are
now surrounding you back at the thicket. Well, let's get them. Once they are
dead, head back to the campsite.
**********
*Campsite*
**********
Ignore the Truffles and enter the tent. Jane is nowhere to be found. Tarzan uses
his good instincts to point out that Jane is at the Tree House and in grave
danger. Alright, let's head back to the Tree House. Defeat the Heartless and
then enter Hippos' Lagoon. Man, there's a lot of backtracking in this world.
Don't worry, we're almost done.
****************
*Hippos' Lagoon*
****************
You know what to do. However, don't just yet. In the area with the second hippo,
there's a piece of land. You can jump onto the trees from here and reach a chest
that contains a Mega-Potion. Alright, there's another one, but, you'll need some
abilites before you get it. Put it this way, not till the end of the game. Well,
you have to jump across the hippos now and make your way to the Vines. Climb the
vine to get to the Climbing Trees.
****************
*Climbing Trees*
****************
Cutscene time. Jane and the monkey are in trouble. Suddenly, a text box will
appear saying that the black fruit looks suspicious. Fend of the Heartless and
attack the black fruit. Once you've defeated the black fruit, Jane and the
monkey are free from harm. You learn that Clayton went to the tent. Alright,
let's go see what the hunter is up to. Head down to the Campsite and stop at the
tent for a quick save. From there, head to the Bamboo Thicket and defeat the
Heartless. Then, head to the Cliff.
*******
*Cliff*
*******
Cutscene time. Clayton's got all the gorillas lined up with Heartless. Sora
yells and stops Clayton in his tracks. We learn that it's not really Clayton. He
has surrendered to the Darkness. Well, time to beat him.
%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%
% Boss Battle: Clayton %
% HP: 250 EXP: 240 %
%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%
Alright, this first part is really easy. First off, you'll have to fight Clayton
with a bunch of Heartless. Your first target should be the Heartless, as they
will only be annoying. Once they are out of the way, you want to go after
Clayton. He will use his shotgun to shoot you. Smack him around a bit and keep
following him around. Once you smack him enough times, he'll be defeated.
%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%
A cutscene will initiate, and Clayton jumps onto an invisble beast. Tarzan
charges but is shot at. Looks like Clayton isn't done just yet.
%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%
% Boss Battle: Clayton/Stealth Sneak %
% HP 750 EXP: 30 %
%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%
Okay, this fight is pretty hard. Clayton will shoot you from Stealth Sneak and
jump around a lot. Knock Stealth Sneak around until he appears, and Clayton
falls off. At that point, you'll want to take Clayton out quick. Have Tarzan and
Donald, or whoever is in your party, take out Stealth Sneak while you go after
the hunter. Be quick, because the little bastard will use potions to heal
himself. Keep going after Clayton and dodge any energy beams that come from
Stealth Sneak. Use potions when necessary because this is really tough. Good
luck with this battle.
%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%
Once the battle is over. Clayton will be crushed by the Stealth Sneak that falls
from the fight. Its heart will ascend to the sky. For your trouble, you can now
use Cure in battle. Kerchak will approach Sora and toss him and his party over
the high jungle wall. This will lead you to a new area. Time to go seal the
Keyhole.
******************
*Waterfall Cavern*
******************
Alright, we are very near to the Keyhole. Walk past the roaring falls, jump to
the ledge up above, and siddle along the wall to reach the other side. Proceed
higher up the cliff to find a treasure chest that contains a Shell-G. Jump to
the ledge above that and open the chest for Mythril. Next, use the vines on the
wall to make it to the left side. Now, open the chest for Orichalem. Climb up
the vine and proceed higher up the cliff. Next, jump across the gaps to the
left. This will leave to a passaged marked ???. Enter.
Alright, we have a cutscene to watch. Some dialogue is exchanged, and the
Keyhole is revealed. Also, there is a White Trinity on the floor. Here. Keep
that in mind. You'll also get a Gummi piece, the Navi-G piece.
Another cutscene with Maleficent and her villains. Talking about why the
Heartless came to that world and about Maleficent's plan with the princess.
We are now back at the tent. Some dialogue boxes are exchanged, and you are then
in control of Sora. You'll also get Jungle King, a new Keyblade that is stronger
than the Kingdom Key. You will also learn the Red Trinity. This allows you to
unlock the Red Trinity marks.
Alright, you're back on the Gummi Ship. They talk about Leon possibly knowing
what the Gummi you previously got is used for. Before going back to Traverse
Town, you have one more world to visit. Off to Olympus Coliseum with you.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
F.Olympus Coliseum
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The first thing you'll notice is the White Trinity on the Floor of the Coliseum.
You can't activate it just yet, so make a note of that. Secondly, there is a
chest behind the pillars on the left side of the coliseum that contains a Mega-
Potion. Anyway, there's a Blue Trinity Mark that you can activate on the right
side of the coliseum pillars. The Blue Trinity will reveal a chest that contains
Dalmations 22, 23, 24 in them. Now that you are done exploring the outside of
the coliseum, enter the doors of the Lobby.
*******
*Lobby*
*******
Alright, you are now inside the Lobby. Approach Phil and talk to him to initiate
a cutscene. Phil wants you to move the pedestal for him. Approach the pedestal
and push against it. Once you see a dialogue box that says "It weighs a ton",
head back to Phil and talk to him again. This sparks another cutscene. Once the
cutscene is over, talk to Phil. He'll ask you if you are ready to be tested. Hit
"I'm ready!" to start the first challenge mode.
Barrel Challenge{Easy}-The first barrel challenge is pretty easy. You'll have a
certain period of time to break the barrels before time runs out. You must break
20 barrels in 30 seconds. It's impossible to break each one individually in the
alotted time.
Okay, so begin by taking out the three barrels ahead of you. If you are lucky,
the middle barrel will knock into 1 or 2 of the four barrels stacked in front of
them. Once the lower levels are gone, you'll have six barrels stacked three by
three on top of each other. Break these ones and see if you hit any others. Now,
break the four stack barrels that were behind the six stack. Finally, line
yourself up directly behind the barrel in line with the one direct across. Knock
that barrel into the one across from you. If you fail to do so, you should have
plenty of time left to eliminate the single barrel. You win the challenge once
you do so. Okay, time for the final barrel challenge.
Barrel Challenge{Hard}-Phil's second challenge is much harder than the previous
barrel one. You now have higher areas to break the barrels, and there are five
extra ones to break; however, your time limit has been boosted to 1 minute.
Okay, run to the right to find a single barrel behind a stack of two. Line up
with the stack of two and knock the single barrel into the stack of two. Now,
run behind the structure to find two single barrels. Knock the first one you see
into the second one. Now, run around and take out the four barrels. Hop to the
next level and get rid of the three single barrels lined up. On the next level,
knock the single barrel into the four barrels stacked by twos. Now, get rid of
the six barrels on the next level. If you didn't break the last two in the
process, smack the single barrel to hit the other single barrel on the other
side. Congradulations, you cleared Phil's challenges.
Back in the Lobby, there's another cutscene where Phil refuses to allow you into
the games. However, he will give you the Thunder spell to use. Talk to Phil and
tell him you're ready for the games. The stubborn ass won't give you an entry
pass. Time to obtain it by playing with the dark side. Exit the Lobby to trigger
a cutscene where Hades will give you an entry pass. With the entry pass in hand,
head back to the Lobby. Give Phil the pass who'll have to allow you entry since
you have one. You are now in the Preliminaries.
***************
*Preliminaries*
***************
Match 1: Shadow Scout-alright, you are face with three Heartless that use the
power of ice, and you have four Heartless that were found in Traverse Town and
Wonderland. They are pretty easy. If you cast Fire at the Ice Heartless, they
will die automatically. After the battle, there will be a short cutscene where
you first see Cloud Strife. He walks by.
Match 2: Sinisters: Easy. You have the basic Heartless that you first
encountered on Destiny Islands. You also have another three Ice Heartless. They
are both easy enemies and don't require much to take them down.
Match 3: Heat and Freeze-*Yawn* You have five Fire Heartless and five Ice
Heartless you get a good amount of points for casting the opposite spells at
them, but try and conserve some magic. You have a tough fight coming up. You'll
see a quick dialogue with Phil where you hear about Hercules. Alright, match 4.
Match 4: Shadow Platoon-More like Shadow Lametoon. You have basic Heartless,
Upgraded Heartless, Ice Heartless, and Fire Heartless. Spells work good if you
have them, and the Keyblade always works.
Match 5: Blue Revenge-*Sigh* You'll be fighting nine Ice Heartless. They are so
easy it's not even funny. Fire works good and can finish them quickly, but I
would use the Keyblade because you will need MP for the last fight of the
preliminaries. There's a cutscene with Cloud Strife and Hades. Hades wants Cloud
to take down Sora and kill Hercules. I knew that snake was up to something.
Match 6: Big One: Alright, we got the Fire and Ice Heartless, but we also have
a Big Bandit. Get rid of the Big Bandit first because he has an annoying charge
attack. After that, it's a cakewalk from there. Okay, your final match is coming
up next.
%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%
% Boss Battle: Cloud Strife %
% HP: 300 EXP: 80 %
%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%
Well, Cloud is pretty tough. He'll start off by charging at you in a purple dash
that does massive damage. Jump to dodge this attack. Once he's done charging, he
will pause and start walking if you are far enough way. Jump in the air and hit
him with your Keyblade. Cloud is very quick, so try and get in what you can.
Another attack Cloud will do is jump into the air and pound his blade into the
ground which will cause a dark purple energy wave to come out. Avoid that at all
costs. Even if you lose to him, you'll still progress. The 80 EXP is good, so
try to beat him.
%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%
Once you win/lose, Cloud will go to finish Sora but stop. All of a sudden, a
three-headed behemoth will fall to the ground. It's Cerebrus, Hades' guardian
that helps him guard the underworld. You have to win this battle. Get ready for
one hell of a fight. Hercules will come in and save the day. After heading back
to the Lobby, save and then enter the doors to fight Cerebrus.
%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%
% Boss Battle: Cereberus %
% HP: 600 EXP: 80 %
%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%
Wow, this is one hard as hell fight. Cereberus is, perhaps, one of the most
difficult battles of the entire game. So, Cerebrus is this giant three headed
beast that walks around the Coliseum and attacks without mercy. It has a lot of
mean attacks, so getting a direct hit on him is hard sometimes.
Okay, the basic attack for Cereberus is to snap at you with his three heads.
Wait until his jaws snap shut and then attempt a whack with the Keyblade. Keep
dodging his bites and hitting him in the head.
Another thing that Cereberus does is spew dark liquid from its mouth that will
pop up under you and hit you. This happens a couple of times. The best thing to
do is to dodge roll during this point. Also, Cereberus may shoot fireballs at
you while you are dodge rolling. Dodge both of them and keep looking for
opportunities to hit him. He has high HP and will take a while to defeat him.
You will lose HP during this battle, so bring plenty of healers and make sure
you have Cure Magic to heal you if you need it. Don't Cure/Heal during the
dark portals that hit you or when the fireballs are flying. There's no point, as
you will take damage. Well, good luck with this fight.
%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%
With the Inferno Band in hand, a cutscene will be triggered where Phil dubs
Sora, Donald, and Goofy Jr. Heroes. Once the cutscene is over, you have nothing
to do at this point at the Olympus Coliseum. Okay, exit the gates to get your
Hero License. Now, head to the opposite where you'll meet Cloud Strife at the
gates to the exit. After finding out why he did it and getting turned down to a
rematch, Sora will be given Sonic Blade. Okay, let's leave this place. It's time
to head back to Traverse Town. First, you have to watch a cutscene with Hades
and Maleficent. Now, head to Traverse Town.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
G.Traverse Town
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Okay, you have a couple of things to do that Traverse Town in order to lock it
for good. Okay, you can choose to stock up on accessories or items. Once you do,
head in the alley where you woke up as Sora in Traverse Town. You can perform
the Red Trinity to access a treasure chest containing Dalmations 4,5,6. Now, get
out of this area and head to the Second District.
*****************
*Second District*
*****************
Okay, head to the Back Alleyway and look for the Red Trinity near the Secret
Waterway. NOTE: FIGHTING THE HEARTLESS ALONG THE WAY IS OPTIONAL!! Enter the
Secret Waterway.
*****************
*Secret Waterway*
*****************
Alright, swim through the water and talk to Leon who is practicing with his
blade. You'll also see a White Trinity Mark on the land that Leon and Aerith
are on. Make a note of this because you won't be able to get it until the end
of the game practically. A short dialogue will take place with Sora and Leon.
You learn what happens to a world if you do not seal the Keyhole. The Heartless
mess with the core and, in the end, cause it to disappear. After talking to
Leon, talk to him again.
This will cause Sora to ask what the Gummi Block is used for. Aerith tells you
to ask Cid. Leon will give you a stone called Earthshine. Before heading to Cid,
go in the little passage and open the chest for Dalmations 10,11,12. Now, head
back to the alleyway. You can access the Green Room by jumping up to the high
balcony. Defeat the Heartless and then enter the Red Room. Beat the Heartless,
and open the chest for a Pretty Stone. You are now in the Hotel, so just exit
to reach the Second District. From there, beat the Hearless and head to the
First District.
****************
*First District*
****************
Alright, before heading to the Accessory Shop, there is a postcard behind the
yellow counter to the left of the Accessory Shop. It's inside a blue safe type
thing with a lock on it. Now, go to the Accessory Shop and talk to Cid. He'll
agree to install it, but he has to make a delivery first. An old book that is
torn apart and in pieces. Sora agrees to make the delivery for Cid. Cid tells
Sora to go to the old house in the Third District with the fire sign. Suddenly,
the Gizmo Shop bell will ring and scare Sora. Cid will tell you to go check it
out, but you have to deliver the book first. Okay, Dad, geeze <_<. Well, head to
the Third District.
****************
*Third District*
****************
Defeat the Heartless and make your way to the central square. After bashing more
Heartless, look for the fire sign. Charge up and cast Fire at the sign to open
a passageway. This will allow you to enter the Mystical House.
****************
*Mystical House*
****************
Alright, you have to jump across the moving platforms in the water to make your
way to Merlin's House. Head to the back of the house and look for an opening. Go
through to the Empty Room.
************
*Empty Room*
************
The minute you enter, a cutscene is activated. You see Kairi talking to Sora.
Goofy interupts, and Kairi is gone. Yup, he's seeing things. Suddenly, you'll
hear a voice and find Merlin who's been expecting you. Some more dialogue tells
you that King Micky has requested Merlin's help. At the utter of a magic word,
Merlin's house becomes filled with furniture and a lot of stuff that houses
usually contain. King Micky wants Merlin to train Sora in the art of
spellcasting. You don't have to do the training if you are comfortable with
casting spells. Simply talk to Merlin to give him the book back that Cid wanted.
He'll tell you to ask the Fairy Godmother about the stone that Leon gave you.
She'll reveal that the stone is someone that turned into a Summon Gem. You
learned Summon Spell Simba. You can now use Summon Magic. The Fairy Godmother
will ask you to bring anymore you find. Okay, you're done here. Save your game
and activate the Blue Trinity Mark by the save point for a Mega Ether.
Leave the house and note the chest that you can't reach just yet. Now, head into
the Third District to initiate a cutscene where Sora meets up with Riku. Okay,
before heading to the Second District, head to the door near the lock and
examine it to create a shortcut between the First and Third District. Now, head
to the Second District.
*****************
*Second District*
*****************
Alright, not much to do here. You can fight some Heartless, but you want to head
to the Gizmo Shop.
************
*Gizmo Shop*
************
Defeat the Heartless and exit the Gizmo Shop through the other end.
*****************
*Second District*
*****************
There's a ladder that you can now climb up that you couldn't access during the
first trip to Traverse Town. Defeat the Heartless and then activate the Red
Trinity to bash the gate to reveal a bell. Now, ring the bell three times to
reveal the Traverse Town Keyhole. Okay, jump down and head towards the Keyhole.
Did you really think it would be this easy? Guard Armor comes out and challenges
you to a fight. It's the same exact fight as before, but you don't gain EXP.
After you smack around Guard Armor a bit, he will fall apart. Uh-oh, he's
turning himself inside-out. Yup, you have a new enemy to fight. Meet Opposite
Armor. Since he's pretty much the same fight as Guard Armor, I will post the
Guard Armor Strategy under Opposite Armor.
%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%
% Boss Battle: Opposite Armor %
% HP: 1350 EXP: 330 %
%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%
Opposite Armor is no harder than Guard Armor. Okay, so Opposite Arm consists of
a bunch of parts, right? Well, that's how you defeat him. By getting rid of his
parts one by one. To start off the battle, Whack him around a bit until he comes
apart a bit. Whatever parts come off, attack them to make them disappear. His
attacks are dependent upon the various parts that he uses; however, there are no
gimmicks. He straight up hits you with his parts. This shouldn't be too hard a
fight, but healing may be necessary. Donald Duck can heal you, but don't rely
too heavily on him.
%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%
Okay, once Opposite Armor explodes, you'll learn the magical spell Aero and seal
the Keyhole for Traverse Town. Wahoo, you're doing great. Only a couple more
worlds to go. However, these worlds are long. Well, not that Traverse Town is
sealed, head to the Third District.
****************
*Third District*
****************
Okay, head to the Small House and talk to Cid. He'll ask if you ever heard of
Maleficent and that she's in town. You'll learn a little bit about her and the
Heartless. You'll also learn about how their old world was lost nine years ago.
Another cutscene. Uh-oh, that bitch Maleficent is messing with Riku. She's
promising to help Riku if he goes with her. You idiot, you better not. More
dialogue and then Cid will give you a Warp-G. You can now warp to other worlds
that you've already visited. Thanks, pal. Okay, leave, fight some Heartless if
you choose, and then go to the First District.
****************
*First District*
****************
Okay, go behind the Accessory Shop and talk to Cid. His real job is working with
Gummi Blocks. He'll give you a Comet-G as a special giveaway. Okay, you're done
with the story portion of Traverse Town for now. Before leaving, note the Blue
Trinity to the left of the World Exit {facing the Accessory Shop}. Head over
there and activate the trinity. This takes you to a high area with a chest. Open
it for a Postcard. Near the Trinity, you'll find four candles and a treasure.
Cast Blizzard on the four candles to hear the unlocked music. Open to the chest
for a Defense Up. Okay, that's good for now. Take the World Exit.
Well, Chip and Dale say that there is a tournament going on at the coliseum. You
don't have to go, but leveling up his always good. Alright, head to the Olympus
Coliseum using your new Warp-G.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
H.Olympus Coliseum
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Okay, head to the Lobby and talk to Phil. You'll be able to enter the Phil Cup.
Keep in mind that you can enter each cup three times at different levels. You
can do one together, by yourself, and on a time limit. The first official cup
you can participate in is the Phil Cup.

This world opens with a cutscene. Maleficent is asking Jafar about the Keyhole.
Iago eventually comes and tells Jafar that Jasmine is nowhere to be found. More
dialogue with Jafar and Maleficent reveals that she needs all seven Princess of
Heart. Jafar will summon some Heartless to find Jasmine, and the scene ends with
Jasmine hiding near where Maleficent and Jafar were talking.
Once you are back in control of Sora, you'll have some Heartless to defeat. Once
they are gone, open the chest for a Mega-Potion. Now, head into the door that
leads to the storage.

Cutscene. Sora meets Princess Jasmine. She'll tell you about Jafar and how he

leaves the area. Alright, let's get rid of these guys. Once they are out of the
way, use the boxes to jump to the ledge that Jafar was on. Defeat the Heartless
and open the chest for a Mega-Potion. Since the passage up on the ledge is
blocked, you'll have to go a different way. See the lock over on this ledge?

When you enter, you will see Jafar with Jasmine. Jump down to them to start a

that turns into one of those Pot Barrels. Jafar then orders the Pot Barrels to
attack. But wait, two creatures break out of their pots. You have the Pot
Centipedes.

You have Pot Centipede to fight, but they aren't too difficult. You can lose to
it if you don't pay attention to their attacks and your life. To start off, get
rid of the Pot Barrels, so they don't get in your way. Once they are gone, you
can focus your attacks on the Pot Centipede. Keep in mind that you will be
moving to different areas if you take too long beating it. The Pot Centipede has
nasty attacks and will swipe you without warning. You may need potions or spam
Cure to heal yourself at any point. You may hear your life go down without
warning. This guy is easy, but they can beat you. Pay attention to your guage
and watch those swipes. These guys will fall in no time.
%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%
With the Ray of Light in hand, you hear Jafar laughing. Aladdin yells to go to

********
You will fly across the Desert on carpet. Once you land, you will be at the spot
where you first met Aladdin. Approach the mound of sand to have Tiger Head come
out. Uh-oh, he has a purple gleam in his eyes. We must fight him to defeat the
darkness that is controlling him.
%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%
% Boss Battle: Tiger Head %
% HP: 380 EXP: 400 %
%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%
Alright, this fight is pretty challenging. Tiger Head's weakness is his glowing
eyes. You must find a way to the top of his head and smack his eyes. There are
two ways you can go about defeating Tiger Head.
The first method is the backway. Run to the side of him and wait for his head to
start wobbling. Once it falls forward, you can climb onto his head and smack his
eyes. Avoid the purple beams that are coming out of his eyes, as they cause you
to fall back down to the ground. This method is good because you can avoid the
Heartless that appear to stop you. However, this method is dangerous because you
are right in front of the energy beams that come from his eyes.
The second method is to the stay and face him head on. It will take a bit of
patience, but if you want direct damage, it is worth it. Tiger Head will
eventually lower himself pretty close to the ground. When he does this, you have
a better shot at his eyes that standing right in them and hitting them. However,
you have to battle the Heartless that appear on the ground around you. This one
causes you to take an attack that is pretty powerful. Tiger Head will shoot a
burst of flame at you that can deal good damage. Don't forget, you should have
Aero at this point if you need it.
It really doesn't matter which method you use to fighting Tiger Head, as they
will both assure the same end eventually. Tiger Head's beams are really annoying
and can cause you to lose health. You may need to use potions or Cure to stay in
line with your HP. MP is really only useful for healing, so be to conserve that.
Alright, that's about it. Just use whatever method floats your boat, and you'll
have this battle wrapped up no sweat....okay, maybe some sweat.
%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%
Now that Tiger Head is no longer evil, you can now enter the Cave of Wonders.
It's time to beat Jarfar and save Jasmine. Now, get in that mouth.
*****************
*Cave of Wonders*
*****************
Alright, we're inside the cave. There is a White Trinity to the left that cannot
be used yet, but you'll be able to eventually. Keep that in mind. Once you walk
forward a bit, some Heartless will appear. Let's show them who's boss. More
Heartless ahead and a treasure chest awaits. Clear the Heartless and open the
chest for a Mega-Ether. Before proceeding to the Hall, drop down to the lower
level through any of the holes. This will lead to two treasures. One you can get
now, but the other you can't. Open the reachable one for a Thundara Ring. Now,
head back up to the Entrance and then go to the door and enter it to reach the
hall.
******
*Hall*
******
There are more Heartless to fight in the Hall. As you progress, you'll see a
Yellow Trinity near an urn type thing. Progress further and defeat anymore
annoying Heartless you may see. Once you defeat them all, fall down to the
lower level to reach a save point and more treasures. One of them contains a
Torn Page to Merlon's book. Ignore the unreachable chest for now, but you can
access the one close to the save point for a Cottage. Head back up and continue
on your way through the hall. More Heartless to fight. NOTE: YOU CAN EXPLORE THE
DEEPER PART OF THE CAVE OF WONDERS ONCE YOU LEARN SOME NEW ABILITIES. UNTIL YOU
CAN, JUST GO AS FAR IN AS YOU CAN GO!! Defeat the Heartless. Now, head to the
Bottomless Hall.
*****************
*Bottomless Hall*

below. Head up near the door that takes you to the Hall, but instead, enter the
water past that area and enter the Hidden Room.
*************
*Hidden Room*
*************
In this room, you are prompted with an examine command. Upon examination, you
see a pillar that rises up. Head to the land area and cast Fire at the pillar.
This will initiate a cutscene where Jafar uses his first wish to reveal the
Keyhole. Okay, you're done in this room. Head up to the hall and then go back
to the Bottomless Hall.
*****************
*Bottomless Hall*
*****************
Now that you have done the first portion of the Bottomless Hall, it's time to
move on. Don't bother trying to leap the gap, or you'll fall right back down to
the lower chamber. Rather, use the statues that are shooting fire to cross the
gap. There is a higher area where you have some Heartless to defeat and a chest
waiting to be opened. After clearing the Heartless, open the chest for a
Cottage. Now, jump to the doorway at the end to fight some more Heartless. If
you happen to fall down, there's a Blue Trinity down there if you have all
three main characters in your party. If not, you can come back to it. Anyway,
head through the door into the Treasure Room.
***************
*Treasure Room*

There's nothing to do in this room except save and heal. You'll need it for the
upcoming room. There are a few treasures you can get in here by calling Abu to
activate the crystals. You can get a Mythril Shard and Dalmations 52,53, and 54.
Once you are done in here, head into the lamp chamber.

We start off with a cutscene with Jafar and Maleficent talking. The talk is
interupted by Sora who barges in with his friends. He asks if the woman is
Maleficent, but she disappears. After some more dialogue about opening the
door with seven princesses, Jafar uses his second wish and commands Genie to
crush you. Next, he seals off the Keyhole and prepares to fight you.

Well, Jafar is just a pain in the ass. He will float around the room which makes
him hard to target. The best places to hit him are where the stone structures
are that you can climb on and get a good shot. Jafar as some annoying attacks,
and he also has a friend helping him.
Jafar's basic attack is to shoot beams at you from his snake staff. These can be
avoided easily if you jump in time. Another annoying attack is to say this weird
chant and create ice crystals that will float in a circle in the middle of the
room. When you hear him say his weird chant, get to the edge of the room and
stay out of the middle. The final thing that will happen is Genie will come
around the room and smack you. When Genie yells "Get out of the way!" or
something about missing, dodge because he's gonna swing at you. Also, Jafar will
have fire coming from his staff once you get him down to the second bar. Be
careful because you can die if you aren't paying attention.
To defeat Jafar, you must simply follow him around the room and try to get a
good attack range. Remember, the best way to damage him is to wait until he
appears by one of the stone structures. This way, you'll be able to get up to
his level and deal some damage with your Keyblade. Even though this battle isn't
too difficult, heal when needed. I would recommend Potions and Cure, but you may
not even have to use Cure. Just keep following him and getting in those shots.
Dodge those beams and ice crystals, and you'll win.
%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%
Once you defeat Jafar, you will get Blizzard upgraded to Blizzara. Head over to
Jasmine to initiate a cutscene where Jafar uses his final wish to be turned into
an all powerful genie. The floor will quake, and a huge gaping hole will appear
in the ground. It's time to go down and take care of Jafar's second form. Head
down the hole to spark a cutscene. Jafar will rise out of the lava, and Iago
will fly in carrying Jafar's lamp. Alright, it's go time.

%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%
Alright, this battle is actually pretty easy. You don't even have to attack
Jafar. Your target is the pretty little black lamp that Iago is carrying around.
You must chase Iago around and smack the lamp to deal damage to Jafar. Well,
Jafar isn't just gonna stand there and let you kill him. Instead, he's gonna
pull these giant rocks out of the lava and toss them at you. Just Dodge Roll out
of the way when he does this and keep attacking that lamp. That's pretty much
the just of this battle. Keep hacking at the lamp until Jafar dies.
%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%
Sora sends Jafar back to the lamp, gets Fire upgraded to Fira, and he also gets
Ansem's Report 1. Meanwhile, Jasmine is peering over the edge of the whole when
someone comes up behind her and grabs her. The group returns to find Jasmine
missing. Finally, Sora seals the Keyhole and locks Agrabah for good.
All of a sudden, the Cave of Wonders starts quaking violently. Boulders fall.
You have to escape. For this task, you are on Carpet. All you have to do is
steer Carpet through the cave and dodge falling boulders and lava sprouts. You
will eventually leave the Cave of Wonders and end up back at Aladdin's House in
Agrabah. A final cutscene where Aladdin uses his final wish to set Genie free.
Also, you get the ability to Summon Genie in battle with your Summon spell.
Once the cutscene is over, it'll lead to another cutscene where we find out that
Riku was the one who grabbed Jasmine. They have made a deal, and Riku is helping
Maleficent to save Kairi. After the cutscene ends, you can summon Genie, learned
Green Triniy, and have a new Keyblade upgrade called Three Wishes.
Okay, to the Gummi Ship. You can select any of the two worlds because halfway to
the world, you'll be swallowed by Monstro the giant whale. Well, Monstro is your
next level.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
J.Monstro
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Once you are swallowed by Monstro, a short clip will show Sora and Riku as
little kids talking about a huge monster. After peering into the place, the kids
enter it and find the door. Finally, they plan to leave the island when they get
older. The scene is now over.
Back inside Monstro, the three are waking up from being swallowed. A bunch of
items rain down on Donald, and they finally figure out that Pinocchio is behind
the item showers. He walks away, and you are prompted to follow him. Fine. Let's
go.
Now in control of Sora, enter the water and swim through it until you reach, yet
again, another cutscene. Pinocchio and his father are talking about getting out
of Monstro. Sora and crew will eventually meet up with them, and a huge dialogue
take place. During the scene, Pinocchio will see Riku enter a tunnel and
disappear. Jump to the other side and enter Chamber 1.
***********
*Chamber 1*
***********
Walk in a little further to see Pinocchio standing in a passageway. Eventually,
they will turn around and walk away. Riku ends up stopping them. Riku tells Sora
to catch up with him if he wants to find out about Kairi. Afterwords, he grabs
Pinocchio by the hand and leaves. There are some Heartless in this room that you
have to defeat, so let's get rid of them quick. Once you are done, proceed to
Chamber 2 which is found on the ledge area.

More Heartless to clear in here. Once you clear all the Heartless, open the
treasure chest for a Cottage. Now that you are done, enter the passage to

Defeat the Heartless and move to the dead-end passage of the room. Here, you'll
find a chest that contains a Dispel G. Now, head through the passage and enter
Chamber 5.
If you happen to fall, there's a White Trinity down in the lower area. Since you
can't get back up, head through Chamber 3 which will take you to the other side.
There's some Heartless and a chest containing Dalmations 55, 56, and 57. Once
you get that chest, head back to Chamber 1 and go through the chambers. Once you
get back to Chamber 6, head to Chamber 5.

If you happen to fall, don't panic. There are some treasures in the lower left
side of Chamber 5 that contain a Mega_Ether and a Dispel G. Once you get the
treasures, use the chambers to reach the top part of Chamber 5. From there, head
to Chamber 4.

Okay, it's cutscene time. Maleficent is still working on riku and trying to get
him to turn against Sora by telling him he was replaced. Riku will tell
Maleficent to mind her own business, and she will leave.
Back to the Sora in the group. Upon entering Chamber 4, Pinocchio will rush
ahead with the team following him close behind. They will encounter Riku, whom
Pinocchio rushes past to the next area. Sora and Riku will have some dialogue.
Eventually, Pinocchio will yell from the next roo. Save your game game and
enter the Bowels.

A giant parasite Heartless has Pinocchio locked away in a cage. This is one
ugly dude. Riku will ask you if you are ready to fight, and Sora will pose
for battle. It's time to take down this guy by tag-teaming with Riku along with
your friends.

This guy is easy as hell. There's really no strategy whatsoever. All you have to
do, is keep attacking him. He will flail his tentacles around in an attempt to
stop you, but you can easily dodge or parry them. Just keep attacking him, and
he will eventually die.
%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%
After you beat him, he will spit Pinocchio into a hole, and Riku will jump in
after him. Goofy will learn Cheer. Now, jump into the hole after Riku and
Pinocchio. This takes you to the mouth, where the water level has decreased.
On the ship, you'll see Geppetto begging Riku to give Pinocchio back. Riku
refuses to give him back and mentions that Pinocchio might be able to restore
someone who has lost their heart.
Once you are back in control of Sora, open the chest on the ship to get High
Jump. This is a shared ability that allows you to jump even higher. Now, you can
collect some of the treasures in the Mouth with your ability to reach new
heights. The treasures include: Dalmations 73, 74, and 75, watergleam, Cottage,
and Tornado G. There is also a Blue Trinity on a wooden platform at the
beginning of the Mouth. Once you are done collecting treasures and activating
the Trinity, use High Jump to access the high ledge that Riku took Pinocchio
through. This leads to the Throat.

you can access the Stomach. All you have to do is jump when you see Stomach, and
you will be sucked up to it.

Cutscene time. Riku has taken Pinocchio's heart and left him lifeless. He gives
Sora an offer to join him to save Kairi, but Sora pulls out the Keyblade to
fight Riku. Well, it turns out Pinocchio is fine. Suddenly, the Parasite Cage
falls from the ceiling and lands. Riku warps using a dark portal and Pinocchio
flees remembering his last encounter. It's time to fight this guy again.

Well, it's this guy again. He's a bit tougher this round. Parasite Cage will
flail his tentacles at you and whack you. Dodge and parry these as you did
earlier. This time, Parasite Cage can shoot this evil acid that is pretty tough
to avoid if you are far away. You'll want to avoid this at all costs. When you
hit Parasite Cage enough, his mouth opens and reveals an orb. Whack it to make
him lose HP, and you can get some HP orbs if you need them. That's all you
really got to do. If you avoid his attacks, heal when necessary, and take
advantage of him opening his mouth, you'll be just fine.
%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%
Yay, you beat him and learned the spell Stop. Riku is gone, but you won this
match. It's Cutscene time. Riku is on Captain Hook's ship with Kairi and
Maleficent. she will reveal the plan of the seven princesses to Riku. And,
she'll give Riku the power to control the Heartless. That's the end of that
cutscene.
Soon, you'll be back on the Gummi Ship and expelled from Monstro. After some
dialogue you are sent to Agrabah's world. Just go to Select World since there's
nothing to do there. After some dialogue about magic, Chip and Dale will come on
telling you about a tournament being held at the Coliseum. Well, let's go and
win that tournament.

Yikes, this is quite a tough fight. You got one quick, agile ninja, and you also
have a badass swordsman. Both are very deadly and will deplete your energy very
quickly. In order to have any success, you must take out Yuffie first.
Yuffie is very fast, cartwheels around the stadium, and is generally annoying
overall. So, she has one basic attack, and she also has a special attack that is
hell to avoid. So, Yuffie will run around the arena and throw shurikans at you.
In order to have success of hitting her, you should parry them back at her to
stun her. Once she is stunned, beat without mercy.
Once Yuffie is low in HP, she'll summon this blue shurikan that acts as a homing
beam. It will home in on you and follow you around the arena. Once it's gone, go
back to your original strategy. Defeat Yuffie quick, or she'll heal herself with
her little potions.
Now that Yuffie is out of the picture, it's time to focus your attack on Leon.
He is the same as when you fought him in Traverse Town, so he shouldn't be too
difficult. Dodge that sword of his and use as many combos as possible. Also,
he'll do that fireblast attack, so dodge that as well. Once you beat him, you
win the Pegusus Cup.
%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%
Your prize for winning the Pegusus Cup is the ability Strike Raid. This is
pretty useful for Sephiroth, so it's important that you have it. Fight in the
coliseum to your heart's content. Once you are done, it's time to progress to
Atlantica.

Thanks to Donald's magic, you now resemble creatures of the deep and can breathe
underwater. Upon landing, Ariel, Flounder, and Sabastian will swim into the area
you are. Ariel will talk with Sora and ask Sabastian to give you a lesson on
swimming. Here are the text box instructions if you are too lazy to read them.
[Use the left analog stick to swim around. Press Circle to rise, and Square to
dive. Release them to stop rising or diving.]
Once you are given the instructions, you will be tested on your swimming skills.
Flounder will float around the area at different heights. You must swim to him
and tag him for him to keep swimming around. Eventually, Sabastian will end this
and go to teach you about defending yourself underwater.
Suddenly, a bunch of Heartless resembling jellyfish come. Ariel and her friends
will flee, leaving you to do the fighting. Just to let you know, the fighting is
the same underwater as it is on land. Okay, let's take out the Heartless.
Once they are gone, Ariel will swim out. Hit the clam that contains Sabastian
and Flounder to find a save point. There will be a brief text dialogue about the
possibility of the monsters invading the palace. Ariel will ask you to go to the
palace with her. The trident markers on the wall are your guide there afterall.
Okay, once you form your party, you can begin heading to the palace. Swim
forward following the first trident. You will reach the Undersea Valley next.
*****************
*Undersea Valley*
*****************
Alright, you'll have some Heartless in here to take care of. You will also see
some clams in this area. Some of them open by striking them, others will require
a magical spell. The spell you need is dependent on the color of the clam. Once
you are done fighting Heartless and finding treasures in clams, follow the
trident down to the passage to the Calm Depths.

The current inside the Calm Depths is really strong, so you have to make sure
you get the right timing to the next area, or the current will sweep you into a
different area. Note the trident markers on the wall, and try to swim into the
passage that is on the right side of the wall. Once you make it in there, defeat
the Heartless. WARNING!! AVOID THE UPWARD CURRENT, OR YOU WILL BE TAKEN FROM THE
AREA!!! Once they are out of the way, take the passage on the other side to the
Undersea Cave.

Cutscene time. Triton destroys the Heartless following Ariel and Sora's party.
Uh-oh, Triton is mad that Ariel is disobeying him and leaving the palace.
Triton sees you and asks who they are. Once the Keyhole is mentioned, Triton
becomes angry and says it doesn't exist. He then gives Ariel strict orders to
not leave the palace. She'll swim off steamed, and Sora and crew will follow
her.
Triton then has a dialogue with Sabastian where we learn that the Heartless
are coming from Ursala's lair. That's the end of that cutscene.
We are now in control of Sora again. Leave Triton's Palace and head to the
Undersea Gorge.
****************
*Undersea Gorge*

Ariel will ask you to come to her grotto once you enter the Undersea Gorge.
After being pointed out, you'll be able to control Sora again. The grotto
is on the opposite side of you. Careful, you'll have some larger Jellyfish
Heartless that have more HP. Once you clear the Heartless, go to the boulder
and enter Ariel's Grotto.
****************
*Ariel's Grotto*
****************
We start off with a cutscene. She shows off all the things she and Flounder
collected. Then, she talks about wanting to see other worlds, and eventually,
she brings up wanting to find the Keyhole. Alright, you're pretty much done in
here. There are a few treasures you can collect containing: a Mega-Potion,
Cottage, and a Torn Page. Once you are done, leave the grotto to trigger a
cutscene. Flotsam and Jetsam will enter the grotto and then Ursula will get some
screen time. Once the scene ends, you are back in the Undersea Gorge.

Alright, we have some Heartless purging we have to do to before we can move on

Okay, remember that trident symbol hole? Well, approach it to start a cutscene.
Once the Crystal Trident is in place, King Triton will show up and scold Ariel.
Next, he'll take his trident and destroy the Crystal Trident you just got.
Ariel will swim away all upset. Then, Triton turns to you and calls you out on
being from another world and being the key bearer. Triton says that there is no
room for you or your key in his ocean.
The cutscene will then shift to Ariel who is upset over what Triton did. Flotsam
and Jetsam will come and mention Ursula. Eventually, she'll appear and start
talking to Ariel. Once the cutscene is over, you'll want to head out of here
and then to Triton's Palace through the undersea Grotto.

Another cutscene starts. Ursala wants Ariel to take her to the palace without
Triton knowing about it. She promises to help Ariel get to the other worlds once
she does. The scene ends with Ursala maliciously smiling at the Trident.
Okay, clear the Heartless and get inside Triton's Throne quickly!!
*****************
*Triton's Throne*

The next cutscene is in place. Ursula has the trident, and she has hurt Triton.
Ursula then goes to honor her end of the bargain and wants to send Ariel to the
dark world of the Heartless. Flotsam and Jetsam come and tell Ursula that the
Keyhole isn't here. Finally, Sora and crew enter; however, they are too late.
Ursula disappears. After talking about getting it back, Triton will tell you
that Ursula draws power from her cauldron. In order to defeat her, you must
strike it with magic. With the tip in mind, leave the throne. Head through all
the passages to the Undersea Valley.

%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%
% Boss Battle: Ursula %
% HP: 450 EXP: 1000 %
%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%
Okay, this is a pretty annoying fight. Ursula is pretty much invincible until
you use her cauldron against her. Ursala will throw several potions into the
cauldron. Once you see the color in the cauldron, cast that same spell into it.
After enough spellcasting, it will eventually explode and stun Ursula. At that
point, go after her and smack her.
Okay, so Ursula has two attacks. She'll laugh and spin her tentacles around at
you. Dodge this because she's invincible. The second thing she'll do is summon
her magic from the cauldron at you. This is a pretty powerful attack and can do
some major damage.
Also, Flotsam and Jetsam will be swimming around trying to help Ursula. If you
run out of MP, smack them around to regain some good MP. I would recommend using
MP Haste if you have that ability because you'll gain more MP. Once Flotsam and
Jetsam both faint, Ursula will say, "Get up and fight!" to revive them.
Ursula is pretty powerful with her magic, so I would recommend using Aero if
things get out of hand. Keep Fira and Blizzara on quick spell, as you'll use
them to turn Ursula's magic against her. Also, don't be afraid to use MP healers
if you aren't getting enough MP from beating up Ursula's cronies. Just keep
using her magic against her, and she'll fall after many beatings.
%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%
Jetsem and Flotsem will disappear. Ursula will flee the grotto and promise that
you will pay for what you have done. You will learn the Shared Ability Mermaid
Kick. This allows you to swim through fast currents. Alright, time to leave
Ursula's lair and go get that trident back. Go
