a. Author's Note

<kh_author>
-------------
Two authors wrote this massive guide. MTincher conducted most of the
walkthrough before he had personal matters which obligated him to stop
writing. I, winnie the poop, offered him my services to finish his FAQ and I
did, as you can see. So here.
Although this FAQ is essentially complete, I still have several things to do
before it's truly complete. I want to personalize the format a bit more, since
MTincher and I used different format... I tweaked MTincher's format to match
my preferences, but there are still some underlying writing styles that are
different from mine that should be changed if I want the FAQ to look smooth
throughout.
MTincher has done an excellent job writing the FAQ up to Hollow Bastion and
I am honered to be the one to complete his job.
To contact me, please email to this address:

2. Basics
----------------------
==============================================================================
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
a. Story
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
<kh_story>
------------
Is it just me, or do you like to read the story from the instruction
manual, as well as reading the story put into the words of the writer? Well,
that is what I am doing in this section.
Instruction Manual's version
----------------------------
The Destiny Islands are a beautiful paradise where children's laughter
abounds. Day after day, Sora, Riku, and Kairi talk and dream of new places,
new worlds beyond their islands. They ponder the usual questions that
adolescents do - about th world outside, about their own existence. Little
do they know a great destiny awaits them. One stormy night, a terrible
darkness invades the Destiny Islands.
Thus does their journey begin...
Sora awakens in another world, in a place called Traverse Town. His hopes
of seeing new worlds are realized, but his friends Riku and Kairi are nowhere
in sight.
Meanwhile, Donald and Goofy have also arrived to Traverse Town. They have
come from Disney Castle in search of a "key" and its owner. Their king, who
has mysterioulsy disappeared, has left them a cryptic message:
"Now, there's somebody with a 'key' - the key to our survival...
We need that key."
What is happening to this world?
The "somebody" mentioned by the missing king turns out to be Sora. To find
Kairi and Riku, Sora joins Donal and Goofy and embarks on an epic journey.
My version
----------
You are a young boy, Sora, on an island with no other connections to the
outside world. On this island, you are supplied with everything you will ever
need, as well as want. However, Sora, and his friends Kairi and Riku, wonder
if there are any other worlds besides of the one they live on.
Sora seems to like Kairi more than as just a "friend." It also seems that
Riku feels the same way towards Kairi as Sora does. Sora and Riku have always
been competitive with each other. Their silly little games seem to never
cease.
One night, a terrible storm comes across the island. Along with the storm
came weird, never before seen creatures. These creatures had no emotion, and
would attack you. There were swarms of these msyterious creatures. Sora then
decides to help protect the island by going out and fighting off all the
strange creatures.
Once he "thinks" he has demolished all of these creatures, he is taken to a
new world, called Traverse Town. In this town, while searching for Kairi and
Riku, he meets up with Donald Duck and Goofy, who are searching for their
king, Mickey Mouse. And this is where you epic journey begins...

c. Saving
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
<kh_save>
-----------
-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
-=- Save Points -=-
-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
To save your game progress, you will need to find a save point. In Kingdom
Hearts, there are two different types of save points.
Type A - The first type of save point is called Type A. It is circular,
has a green interior, as well as a yellow flame deal going on on
the rims of the outside of the circle. This type of save point
will never disappear. They can also teleport you back to your
gummi ship.
Type B - The second type of save point is called Type B. It has two
different "blades" spinning around in a circle. If you step
inside the blades, you will be able to save. These save points
will disappear at certain points in the game. Unlike Type A,
Type B save points are unable to teleport you back to your gummi
ship.

d. Game Screen
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
<kh_gs>
---------
-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=
-=- Commands -=-
-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=
On the main game screen, there is a small box in the lower left hand corner
that is labeled "Command." This menu contains all of the action that Sora will
do. The first command is usually "Attack," but will often change to "Talk"
while in a stable enviroment. The next two commands will always remain as
"Magic" and "Items," respectively. The bottom icon changes the most from the
limited selection of commands that have the ability to morph.
-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=
-=- Gauges -=-
-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=
There are two different sets of gauges. One set of gauges is in the upper
right hand corner of the screen, while the second, and main one, is displayed
in the bottom right hand corner. The top gauges displays the Health Points
(HP) and the Magic Points (MP) of your partners. The bottom gauge shows the
amount of Health Points and Magic Points the main character Sora has. The
green bar is the HP gauage, the blue bar is the MP bar, and the orange gauge
is the charge bar for the MP gauge.
-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
-=- Field Icons -=-
-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
A Field Icon can appear anywhere. The field icon automatically selects an
item, person, or heartless that Sora can receive, talk to, or fight. If you
have the field icon on, let's say a treasure chest, Sora will then be able to
open the chest by selecting "Open" on the Command Menu. When the Field Icon
is placed on a person, Sora will be able to "Talk" to the person. If a
heartless is highlighted by the Field Icon, then Sora and the gang are able
to attack that Heartless.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
e. Menus
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
<kh_menu>

-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
-=- Main Menu -=-
-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
The Main Menu has many different selectable options. This menu is not
accessible during combat, however. This menu allows you to select items to
place in the inventory of Sora, Donald, Goofy, and/or special playable
characters of your group. You are able to choose what equipment you want
your group to have. Another option is selecting the abilities that each
member has, as well as the shared abilities. The customize sub-menu enables
you to decide which magic spells you would like to have short-cuts for. There
are three possible short-cuts Sora can equip. The status preference permits
you to see the status of your group.
While Jiminy's Journal contains many different things within it. You are
able to see characters that you have encountered so far, as well as the
Heartless ; how many Dalmatians you have collected, and how many are left in
each world ; the Ansem's Reports you collect throughout the adventure ; how
many Trinity Marks you have gotten thus far ; and finally, it records
summaries of each world you have visited.
The final sub-menu you can pick is Config. This allows you change the
game settings.

Well, here is the part most of you are wanting to look at. This section will

Upon you get through the configuration of the game, you will be presented
with a wonderful FMV. Within the FMV, you see Sora and Riku washed away in a
tsunami, but they land on shore where Kairi greets them with a smile.
Once the FMV is finished, Sora will be within a large stained glass circle
floor that illustrates Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. On the outskirs of
this circle are three pedestals. On each pedestal is an item, which are a
sword, staff, and shield. You are albe to select one of these weapons, and
you must toss away another. It is up to you on deciding which Sora shall
keep, and which will be trashed. Below is a chart that shows the stats of
Sora, depending on which item you took, and which you rejected (the following
statistics were obtained from the Brady Games Strategy Guide).
________________________________________________________________

----------------------------------------------------------------
After you have choosen your so called "form," the glass floor will begin to
break beneath Sora, causing him to fall in a downward sprial in what starts
off looking like a black hole. Soon, however, you wlil land on another
circular, stained floor that has Cinderala painted on it.
On this platform is where you will fight your first enemy, which happens to
be the most common, as well as simple, enemy throughout the game. Shadows
will begin to arise. Upon killing a Shadow (you will be attacked by a few),
the others will run away (disappear within the floor). You will now be taught
a little more about the controls, but then you are attacked from behind by a
Shadow. Now, there are four Shadows you must defeat. The departure of the
fourth heartless causes a blackhole to form, whcih you will automatically fall
down.
This tie, Sora stops on a colorful platform. After Sora sits up, walk over
to the door, and on your command menu, select "Examine." For some reason,
Sora is unable to open the door. Now what are we suppose to do? Wait... A
treasure chest just appeared. Have Sora walk over to the chest. Using the
command menu, selct "Open," and press the "X" button on your controller.
Hold on a second. Nothing came out of the chest. Fortunately, a box
appears in the middle of the floor. Aren't you so lucky? Anyway, Sora is
told to push the box. So, do what the narrative game text tells you. Once
you push it so far, a message appears giving you a hint that you will need to
smash the box. Hmmm....How are you suppose to smash the box? Ah, I've got
it. Just continually hit the box with your weapon.
After you hit the box a few times, it will break, and shall leave a potion
just for Sora. But now a barrel is created. Walk over to the barrel and
attack it until it breaks. Finally, you are able to enter the blame door, but
what awaits you on the otherside?
Huh? What just happened? We were taken back to Destiny Island (where the
opening FMV took place, incase you did not know). Where you are at, you are
able to talk to Tidus (from Final Fantasy X), Wakka (who is also from FFX),
and Selphie (she is from FF8). Each character will ask you one question. You
must choose one of three responses for each question. Which responses you
choose determine how fast or how slow you shall gain levels. If you select
the first response for each of the three questions, you will level up quickly
at the beginning of the game, but later on you will level up slowly. If you
choose the last response for all the questions that Sora is asked, he will
level up slowly at the start of the game, but towards the end Sora shall level
up quickly. Personally, I like to choose the middle responses, because they
cause you to level up equally throughout the whole game.

What's most important to you?

1. Being number one.
2. Friendship.
3. My prize possessions.

Wakka
-=-=-
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
What do you want outta life?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
1. To see rare sights.
2. To broaden my horizons.
3. To be strong.
-=-=-
Tidus
-=-=-
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
What are you afraid of?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
1. Getting old.
2. Being different.
3. Being indecisive.
As soon as all three questions have been answered, you will be taken back
to the mysteriously vague and freaky place you were previously at. This time,
however, the stained glass has Sleeping Beauty engraved in it. Why are all
famous Disney girl characters being portrayed on the glass floors? No, I am
not being sexist or anything, I was just wondering why there wasn't any famous
animals or anything like that on the glass.
Once you regain control of Sora, you should see a stream of light coming
from above. Sprint over to this light, skim through the boring text that pops
up on the screen, then annihilate all the Shadows that circle around you.
After they are defeated, a short clip of the light will be shown. At the base
of the light, a green circular object forms. This "object" is a save point.
You will find save points like this throughout the game.
Step into the save point, and skim through the info given. You should save
the game before you continue any further. As soon as you are ready, hurdle up
the church house glass steps. At the top is where Sora's first boss, Darkside,
awaits his arrival.
================================
Boss: Darkside
================================
HP: 240
EXP: 18
Difficulty: Easy
Items Dropped: None
------------------
Darkside's Attacks
------------------
There are two different attacks that Darkside will use. They are simple to
avoid receiving damage.
Heartless Generator
ŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻ
When Darkside uses this attack, he will sink his hand into the ground, causing
his hand to smear all over the ground. While he still has his hand smeared on
the ground, Shadows will come out. The Shadows do not possess much of a
threat, because they are easy to eliminate.
Shadowball
ŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻ
This attack can be difficult to avoid for beginners. Darkside will shoot
dark, homing balls out of his chest. These balls don't have a very good
homing system. To easily avoid this attack, just wait until one of the balls
are about to hit you, then jump over it, or side-step to get out of the way.
-----------------
Sora's Strategies
-----------------
- Use the Target Lock function to lock onto Darkside's right arm.
- Constanstly hit Darkside in his arm with your weapon.
- Watch out for the Shadow heartless, because they you may think they are all
dead, when they actually are not.
- Be careful about the Shadowballs that Darkside shoots. Just jump over the
balls or side-step them.
================================
"But don't be afraid."
"You hold the mightest
weapon of all."
"But don't forget."
"You are the one
who will open the door."
During the FMV after the defeat of Darkside, the screen will be taken to the
beach at Destiny Islands. As the camera slowly lowers, Sora wakes up and
realizes all that has just happened was a dream...or was it? Kairi finds him
laying on the golden sand beach. After fussing and flirting with Sora for a
few moments about being lazy, and how they need to find parts to build a raft,
Riku runs towards Sora and Kairi and tells Kairi that she, too, is lazy. So,
now you must find parts for a raft as you are on...

Enemies Major Items Suggested Level
-------------------------------------------------------------------
Selphie Logs (x2) 3
Wakka Cloth
Tidus Rope
Riku Empty Bottle
Coconut (x2)
Fish (x3)
Seagull Egg
Mushroom (x3)
Drinking Water
When you gain control of Sora, he will be in front of Kairi. Talk to
Kairi, and she will tell you to get a few items so they can build their raft.
The items are: Logs (x2) ; Cloth (x1) ; Rope (x1). So, let's go find these
items, or you can duel with Selphie, Wakka, Tidus, or Riku, but I suggest that
we get the important items.
We shall first get the two logs. Okay, to get the first log, once you are
through talking to Kairi, turn around and run along the beach. You will
encounter the log right at the shoreline of the beach. For the second log,
enter the Seaside Shack (It is right beside the first log that you found. The
entrance is on the otherside of where you talked to Kairi.) Once inside the
Seaside Shack, you should see a save point. You may want to save here, but if
not, run up the stairs that are in the building, and exit the door at the top.
Gallop over the wooden bridge, and onto the island. At the end of this
small piece of land is the second log. Also on this island is Riku. You can
battle him now if you would like, but the strategies for him are listed on
below.
Next on our "to get" list is the Cloth. To get the cloth, go to the pier
on the opposite side from where you started at on Destiny Islands. As soon
as you reach the pier, go up the slanted platform that leads to a path, not
the one that leads to the beach. Sprint straight ahead until you reach a set
of stairs hidden within a rock wall. Go up these stairs, then go up the long,
jagged, wooden ramp on the right at the top of the stairs. After walking up
the ramp a little ways, you will reach a dead end, but you will also see a
pegged ladder. Scramble up the ladder, journey forwards on the platform until
you reach a door that steers into the tree. On the right wall, after walking
inside, you will see the cloth. Run up to it and snatch it off the wall.
The last thing to obtain is the Rope. To acquire it, go back to where the
steps that led into the stone containing wall was. On the other side of the
pathway from where the steps are is a ladder. Hurdle out through the platform
until you see Tidus. Behind Tidus, in the corner, is the rope. Take the rope
from the floor. Now, let's gossip about the duels you can have with Selphie,
Wakka, Tidus, and Riku. Please note that you DO NOT have to duel anyone on
the island. It justs helps you get used to the battle system, as well as gain
a tiny bit of Experience Points.
First, I should tell you where each one is located at if you haven't
already seen them (which you should have). Selphie is located on the pier.
Wakka is located beside the Seaside Shack and the large pond. Tidus is
located where you obtained the rope. And Riku is located on the small island
where you found the second log. He will be sitting on a tree.

Tidus's Attacks
---------------
Tidus will only try beating you with his wooden stick. His attakcs are easy
to dodge. When he swings his weapon, he will do a backflip also. Sometimes,
he will stand still, with his arms at his side, and taunt you like an idiot.
-----------------
Sora's Strategies
-----------------
- Use the Target Lock function to lock onto Tidus.
- When Tidus starts to swing at you, just jump up to dodge his attack.
- Sometimes Tidus will taunt Sora. When Tidus does this, jump behind Tidus,
which causes him to be stunned, and attack him.

Duel: Selphie

-----------------
Selphie's Attacks
-----------------
Selphie is probably the easiest duel to win. She will snap her jump rope at
Sora the way people do wet towels at other people. It is her only attack, and
is extremely easy to avoid.
-----------------
Sora's Strategies
-----------------
- Use the Target Lock function to lock onto Selphie.
- Jump to the side of Selphie, or over her when she snaps her jump rope at
you. This is the simpliest method to do while attempting to avoid her
attack.
- Hurdle behind Selphie, and quickly do a combo attack on her. Or, you can do
an air combo attack.

Duel: Wakka

---------------
Wakka's Attacks
---------------
Wakka has two different attacks that he uses. As in Final Fantasy X, Wakka's
weapon is a Blitzball.
Blitzball Toss
ŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻ
This is Wakka's simpliest attack. He will lean back, and attempts to impel
you with is Blitzball. There are three different ways you can avoid this
attack. One is to hit the Blitzball back at him, the second is to jump over
the ball, and the third is to step to the side of the ball.
Power Blitzball
ŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻ
Wakka's Power Blitzball attack can be difficult to avoid. He leaps up in the
air, then hurls the Blitzball towards Sora. This time, however, the Blitzball
is traveling at a higher rate than before. Use the same methods to avoid it
as you would on the Blitzball Toss.
-----------------
Sora's Strategies
-----------------
- Use the Target Lock function to lock onto Wakka.
- To avoid both of Wakka's attacks, you can hit the Blitzball back at him,
Sora can bounce over the ball, or Sora can simply side-step the ball. If
you hit the blitzball back on the Blitzball Toss attack, Sora will gain 1
Tech Point. If he does on the Power Blitzball attack, Sora will gain 2 Tech
Points.
- Get close to Wakka. When he attempts to do one of his attacks, clear out of
the way of the ball, then do a combo to him.

Duel: Rikku
=============================
HP: N/A
EXP: 5

---------------
Riku's Attacks
---------------
Riku has a lot of different sword attacks that he will attempt to use on Sora.
However, most of them are almost the same, just slightly different techniques
used in starting out the attack. So for that, I will only list two attacks
below for Riku.
Normal Attack
ŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻ
Riku's Normal Attack has a punch of different variations, but they cause the
same amount of damage, and they are avoided the same way. One of these
attacks, Riku jumps up in the air, and comes down swinging his sword towards
the ground. Another Normal Attack used by Riku is a spinning slash. He will
slightly hop of the ground, spin, and hit Sora with his sword.
Kickflip Smack
ŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻ
The Kickflip Smack is Riku's most powerful attack, as well as the hardest to
avoid. When doing this attack, Riku will lay on the ground, tuck his knees
into his chest, then shoot his legs forward, and press his body upwards. He
will try to hit you with his sword and his feet. Riku seems to do this attack
when Sora is in the middle of a combo, or has just ended a combo. That is why
this move is so hard to avoid.
-----------------
Sora's Strategies
-----------------
- Use the Target Lock function to lock onto Riku.
- Try to stay off the ground as much as possible.
- Attempt a lot of air combos, this will prevent Riku from doing his Kickflip
Smack.
- Watch out when you are near the edge of the island, because you CAN fall
off. If you fall off, you lose the match.
- If Riku happens to try his Kickflip Smack, try your best to move out from
in front of him as quickly as possible.
=============================
Once you are through with the duels, go talk to Kairi. Since you found
everything she wanted, Kairi will give you a measly little Hi-Potion in return
for all of your labor. After you have been handed the Hi-Potion, Kairi will
ask you if you are tired, and do you want to call it a day. Select "Yeah,
let's go home," then watch the FMV.
So, in the FMV, Sora, Kairi, and Riku talk a while about another "home,"
and about the raft they are going to use to find this other "home." After a
lot of their talking and gazing at the sunset, another FMV will start. This
FMV is located at a large, beautiful castle. Within this castle, you will
find Donald Duck, Pluto, and Goofy. Donald discoveries that their all mighty
King Mickey is missing. He quickly finds Goofy, then swears Goofy to secrecy.
However, this doesn't last long as Minnie and Daisey over here the promise
made between the two.
The FMV will now end, and you will regain control of Sora at Destiny
Islands on the pier.
Sora is now able to battle in another duel. This time, however, he will
take on Tidus, Wakka, and Selphie at the same time. The same methods can be
used to defeat each one, but there is an order you can defeat them in that
makes it easier. The first one you should defeat is Wakka, since he can throw
the Blitzball at you, which will get annoying while you are trying to take out
another person. The second person that should be eliminated is Tidus. He is
quick with his wooden stick. And finally, Selphie should be saved for last
since she is the easiest of the three to triumph over.
Whenever you are finished fooling around, find Wakka and go along the path
that is beside him. After entering, walk up to the door. You will see a
short FMV. Once the FMV has completed, grab the mushroom beside the door (you
will be needing this in just a few seconds), hurdle back outside, and run over
to where Kairi used to be at. When you reach the spot, she isn't there.
Where did she sneak off to? Wait, Riku isn't around either?! What could they
be up to?! Haha...anywho, there is a building behind where Kairi was at. Go
through the door, and Sora shall be taken to another part of the island. Here
you will meet up with Riku. Riku will challenge Sora to a race, which is
harder than you know what to win.
After the pointless race, journey to where you had to turn around at during
the course of the race. Around here, on a small wooden raft, you will see
Kairi. When you talk to Kairi, she will give you a list of things to find to
take on the raft. The items she tells you to get are: Seagull Egg (x1) ;
Mushrooms (x3) ; Coconuts (x2) ; Fish (x3) ; Drinking Water (x1). Kairi hands
Sora an Empty Bottle to get the Drinking water in.
You already have one mushroom that you got earlier. The second mushroom is
in a cave, that is covered by a rock, that is near the raft. Push the rock
out of the way to get the mushroom. This will leave one mushroom left to
find. The Seagull Egg is located in the top of a tree, which is located on
the opposite island, of the wooden bridge, that Tidus is currently on. To
get the coconuts, walk up to any coconut tree and hit it with your sword.
This will cause coconuts to fall. Grab two coconuts, and you are finished
fooling with them.
The drinking water is simple to get. head back to where Wakka is standing
at, and jump in the pond beside him. Upon entering the pond, walk under one
of the tiny waterfalls. This will fill your empty bottle up. To get the
three fish, just get in the water near the pier that Selphie is perched on,
and run up to the fish. When you get close enough to a fish, it says you have
obtained (captured) the fish. Do this to get three fish. Once you have
gotten three fish, this leaves you with one more thing, and that is the third
mushroom.
The third mushroom can sometimes be hard to find. It is located on the
side of the island Kairi, Riku, and the wooden raft are on. Venture to the
base of the watchout tower that you and Riku had to climb during the race you
two had to see what the name of the raft would be. On the left side of the
base, deep within shrubs is the third mushroom. Hurry back to Kairi and talk
to her. There will now be a long FMV that takes place.
In the FMV, Kairi and Sora will talk while the sun is setting. Then the
scene will be taken to Mickey Mouse's castle, wehre most of the action of this
FMV occurs. Chip and Dale, the Rescue Rangers, have made a ship for Goofy and
Donald to use to travel to different worlds. Donald and Goofy will travel to
a world called Traverse Town, then the FMV will be taken back to Destiny
Islands, where Sora is restless in his bed. He decides to walk down to the
pier in the middle of the night, and this is where the fun begins. Sora
discovers Heartless taking over the island, and you now regain control of
Sora.
I suggest that you quickly go to the Seaside Shack and save your game
progress. Once saved, venture up the steps that are in the Seaside Shack.
When you have climbed the steps, and are outside, run across the bridge to
meet up with Riku. An FMV will start that showcases Riku telling Sora that
the "door" has been opened, then it shows Riku being swallowed up by darkness,
followed by Sora receiving the Keyblade.
Okay, now progress to the pond that Wakka was standing beside earlier in
the day. On the path beside the pond, you will see a newly formed door. Walk
up to the door, and open it, and sprint along the path on the otherside.
Soon, Sora will reach Kairi, which causes a cut scene. I'm not going to say
anything about the first part, because I want you to see that on your own.
After the first part, Sora will be on an isolated piece of land when he sees
Darkside, who you have to fight again.

======================================
Upon the falling of Darkside, there will be another cut scene. In this
FMV, Sora is gulped up in a red cloud of mystery. The scene quickly shifts to
an unrecognizable area, known as Traverse Town. Donald, Goofy, and Pluto, who
are looking for a "key," have just arrived to this strage world. Sora isn't
that far behind them, however. Now it is time to welcome you to the world
of...

After you gain control of Sora again, walk along the path that you are on.
The path will lead you to the center of the town. When you reach the main
area of Traverse Town, an extremely short scene will occur. As soon as the
cut scene is over, turn around and enter the Accessories shop. Following the
talk with Cid, save the game.
Now, walk back outside of the shop, and venture up the stairs that are
beside Cid's store. Go through the door at the top to enter the Second
District. As soon as you defeat the Shadow Heartless that appear, walk over
to the left and enter the hotel. When Sora enters, you will see Donald and
Goofy just miss him. But who are they looking for? You can walk into a
couple of other joints and the same thing will happen. While wondering around
mindlessly, getting use to the surroundings, you can proceed into the
Dalmation's House. If you talk to Pongo, he will give you your first side-
quest of the game, which is the biggest, and longest side-quest in Kingdom
Hearts.
Whenever you are finished looking around Traverse Town, head back to the
First District and talk to Cid again in the Accessories Shop. Once through,
step back outside. Sora will encounter a character from Final Fantasy VIII,
Leon/Squall, who challenges Sora to a duel. Before the duel, Leon/Squall
tells Sora some brief, basic information about the Keyblade he possesses.

Basic Sword Attacks
ŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻ
Leon's sword attacks are basic, and nothing you haven't already seen in the
duel with Riku.
Fire Ball
ŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻ
Despite Leon's basic attacks being easy to avoid, he has one heck of a fire
magic. He will shoot a fire ball from the tip of his Gunblade. This attack
is easy to avoid, however, although it causes alot of damage when it strikes
Sora. To easily out maneuver Squall on this magic spell, wait until you see
Leon/Squall raise up his Gunblade, and a red cloud starts to form at the tip.
Then, quickly attack Leon, which in return causes his spell to fail.
-----------------
Sora's Strategies
-----------------
- Use the Target Lock function to lock onto Leon/Squall.
- Constantly stay moving. This prevents Leon from using his Basic Sword
Attacks, which can be tricky to avoid.
- When Leon uses his Fire Ball magic attack, just begin to attack him when a
red cloud starts to form around the tip of the sword.
- Quickly do combos to Leon.
===================================
In the next FMV, you will find out a lot of thing about the Keyblade and
why Sora was picked to wield it. You will also meet Yuffie and another very
special guest...who you can find out about on your own because I don't want to
ruin it for any fanboys of this certain game! I'm not going to talk about the
cutscene here, because it is better if you watch it than read about it in my
FAQ/Walkthrough.
After all of the blabbering and jabbering is over with, there is a temporary
save point in the room you are in. Go talk to Yuffie and Leon. Then, hop on
the table with the blue treasure chest on it. You are able to open the chest
now. Next, talk to Leon again and he will ask Sora if he is ready to go on.
Make sure you say yep.
A Soldier Heartless will appear in the room. So Leon and Sora go outside
to take care of all the Heartless while Yuffie runs to the next room, which
has Aeries (Aerieth), Donald, and Goofy in it.
Once you have Sora outside (he will be in the Alleyway), steer him into the
Second District. You can reach the Second District by going through the
Dalmation's House, or through a door that is near the balcony of the hotel.
After Sora has reached the Second District, control him into the Third
District, which can be accessed by the small alley that is in the middle of
the Second District. Upon entering, take a few steps and you will be drafted
into an FMV, which eventually leads to a boss fight with Guard Armor. This
fight is when you gain the help of Donald and Goofy. Before you can get to
the battle against Guard Armor, the trio must defeat a few Soldiers.

Guard Armor's Attacks
---------------------
Feet of Fury
ŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻ
The Feet of Fury attack happens when Guard Armor detaches his legs from the
rest of his body. His legs then chase one member of your party around,
attempting to stomp on them, while doing backflips. To avoid this attack with
Sora, just simply run in the same direction the feet are moving.
Fist of Rage
ŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻ
This attack is also pretty simple. Guard Armor will swing his arms around his
body at a tremendously high speed. It reminds me of rides that are often at
fairs, carnivals, et cetra. To prevent from being hit by this attack, get as
far away from Guard Armor as you can until he has quit. Watch out because
Guard Armor's main body will move around while his arms are spinning.
Belly Buster
ŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻ
This is one of Guard Armor's more powerful attacks. Guard Armor will
disassemble his main body and head away from his legs and arms. Then he will
float up in the air, and quickly smash down to the ground where you are
standing at. An easy way to keep from getting hit by this attack is to run
away when Guard Armor moves away from his legs and arms.
Twister
ŻŻŻŻŻŻŻ
Guard Armor will only do this attack when he has lost his feet and his arms.
Gaurd Armor will spin around furiously, mimicking a tornado. This is similar
to his Fist of Rage attack, so use the same strategy.
-----------------
Sora's Strategies
-----------------
- Use the Target Lock function to lock onto a part of Guard Armor.
- Since there are five different parts to attack and destroy on Guard Armor,
I will list the order they should be destroyed in.
1.) Left or Right Arm
2.) The remaining Arm
3.) Left or Right Leg
4.) The remaining Leg
5.) The Main Body/Head
- When attacking, have Sora quickly hurdle up to Guard Armor, and do a combo
or two, then get away before Guard Armor can injure Sora.
- You shouldn't need to use any of your potions, because it is an easy battle,
but also because Donald can use his magic to increase your HP.
- To avoid Guard Armor's Feet of Fury attack with Sora, just simply run in the
same direction the feet are moving.
- To prevent from being hit by the Fist of Rage, get as far away from Guard
Armor as you can until he has quit the attack.
- To keep Sora from getting hit by Guard Armor's Belly Buster attack, run away
from Guard Armor when he moves away from his legs and arms.
- When attempting to avoid the Twister attack, cause Sora to just sprint
around the battle field, trying to stay as far away from Guard Armor as
possible.
===================================
Now set back, relax, and watch the cutscene. It's just a discussion with
everyone that you have met up with so far. They talk Sora into helping out
Donald and Goofy on their adventure on finding King Mickey.
"All for one, one for all."
Oh no, I see villians! Yep, that is right. Some of the villians are
revealed in this FMV. Mainly Maleficent, unless you can recognize the voices
of the others.
Once the scene with the bad guys and gals in it is over with, you will see
another seen. This time it is at the front of the Accessories Shop. The high
points of this scene are Sora learning the magic spell Fire, and Sora learning
the ability Dodge Roll.
In the First District, there are a couple of blue Trinity Marks that you
can get. One takes you to the balcony of a building that has a treasure chest
at the top (the mark is located near the cafe). The treasure chest contains a
postcard. The second blue Trinity Mark is located near the exit of Traverse
Town. This Trinity Mark will give you a load of Munny. After you have gotten
the two Trinity Marks, leave Traverse Town.
You may want to read the boring explanation on how to drive a Gummi Ship by
Chip & Dale. I advise you to first go to Wonderland, instead of selecting to
venture to the more difficult Olympus Coliseum. Wonderland is the world with
a one star difficulty.
While riding in the Gummi Ship on your way there, just shoot anything and
everything that gets in your way. I sometimes find it fun to drive the Gummi
Ship around. It reminds me of all arcade shooters, such as Space Invaders,
but in 3-D. Although Space Invaders was out way before my time, I've played
it like most of you probably have.
Upon arriving at the world I suggested you first go to, select "Disembark"
from the menu that appears. This will drop you down to the world of...

As soon as Sora, Donald, and Goofy reach the end of the rabbit hole they
just fell through, you will see White Rabbit running through the halls
complaining about he is going to be late. But late for what?
In the first room, there is a save point. Go ahead now and save if you
wish, then follow where White Rabbit went. You will come to a door in which
you should open. This is weird, however, because there are three doors that
open.
Now, step inside and walk over to the small door that White Rabbit just ran
through. Talk to the Doorknob and he will tell you how to get small like the
Rabbit did. Before you get small, though, you need to push the bed into the
wall. This reveals a hidden hole that you can access once you get small.
Okay, walk over to the round center table and drink the liquid that is in
the blue bottle. This will cause you to shrink. You are now able to venture
to many different places within Wonderland. After you have gulped down some
of the brew, step through the hole that was hidden by the bed.
An FMV shall begin to play once you step into the "Queen's Castle" area.
It will show Alice being prosecuted for something she actually didn't do. But
we should thank our fearless leader, Sora, who volunteers to search for
evidence that proves Alice is innocent.
Upon the completion of the cutscene, take control of Sora and go to the
Lotus Forest, which is located to the left of where you entered the Queen's
Castle. Before you go to the Lotus Forest, however, you may want to save at
the save point that is beside a Card Soldier near where you made your
entrance.
When you enter Lotus Forest, you will be greeted by Cheshire Cat. The Cat
will tell you that there are four pieces of evidence scattered throughout
Wonderland. He also states that three of the four pieces are a cinch to find
(actually, I thought they were all easy to find). You can go on with the
storyline by finding only one piece of evidence, but I highly recommended you
get all four pieces because of the reward you receive once you've discovered
the final piece.
"To trust, or not to trust? I trust you'll decide!"
Once Cheshire Cat is through speaking with Sora and the gang, go straight
ahead until you see an opening to the right (NOTE: You will be facing the
opposite side of the entrance hole.). In the center of this clearing, you
should see a Blue Trinity Mark. Also located in this area is a piece of
evidence, which happens to be the Footprints. It should be easy to see upon
reaching the center. Remember this area as the spot with two mushrooms,
because I will refer to it as that from now on. Is that clear?
To get the second piece of evidence, exit this clearing and continue along
the way that you were previously heading. You should soon come to an opening
with three mushrooms, which is what this area will now be known as. Next you
should jump on the center mushroom, then hop onto the mushroom that is medium
height, next hurdle onto the large leaf that is beside the mushroom. Now you
should see the second box that contains evidence to help prove Alice is
innocent. Open the box to reveal the Antenna.
While progressing on attempting to get the other two portions of evidence,
head back to the entrance of Lotus Forest. From here, you should see a yellow
flower. Give the flower a potion to make Sora normal size again. Once Sora
has been enlarged, step on the stump that is beside the entrance to Lotus
Forest.
By stepping on the stump, you have caused a leaf platform to rise. This
will enable you to get the fourth box of evidence, but we should get the third
part first, now shouldn't we? Hold on a second...Sora is still large. To
make Sora small again, just knock down the large seed, or whatever it is, that
is in the top of the trees. Then take a bite out of it.
To get the third item, head to the two mushrooms area. Upon arriving, jump
up the mushrooms, then onto the leaf platform. From here, just scramble onto
each leaf until you are at the trunk of a tree. If you look, there is a
doorway in the trunk. This will take you into the Bizzare Room, where the
third and fourth boxes are at. What are you waiting for? Hurry up and enter
into the Bizzare Room.
Following walking through the archway, Sora, Donald, and Goofy will fall
onto the top of a fireplace. The third piece of evidence should be easily
visible. What is that smell? Oh, it is just the third piece of evidence
which is Stench. The next thing on our agenda is to collect the final parcel
of evidence. But to do that you will have to leap off of the fireplace, then
go through the opening that you discovered at the beginning of the Wonderland
level, which was blocked by a bed.
So, scuttle through the opening back into the Queen's Castle area. Then
continue to venture back to Lotus Forest. Now, head back to the two mushroom
area. Hurdle up the mushrooms, back onto the leaf platforms. Then climb
these platforms, move past the doorway you just went through. The leaves will
start to curve back, but continue running along on top of them until you reach
the corner, where there will be another opening that takes you to the Bizzare
Room.
After you have wondered through the door, Sora and his pals will land on a
water faucet. If you look around, you will see the last part of evidence. It
will be on a shelf near fireplace. So, get a running start, and leap over to
the shelf. Once Sora has landed, open the box to reveal Claw Marks.
Once the chest has been opened, Cheshire will revisit Sora and company.
This time he will give Sora the magic spell "Blizzard." Now, make your way
back to the Queen's Castle, march up to the Heart Cards, and tell them you are
ready to present your evidence.
The Queen will add in her own evidence to make a total of five. Then she
will mix up the boxes, so you won't know which where yours and which were
hers. She will also tell you to chose one box that will be used as evidence
in the trial, but since four of the five boxes belong to Sora, it shouldn't be
hard selecting one of your parts of evidence.
Upon selection your proposed evidence, the Queen will tell her guards to go
after you. So now you are engaged in a small, easy boss fight.

Congratulations! You have now saved Alice from the evil Queen! Watch the

we shall try to find Alice, but before we start, quickly save the game. Then,
head back into Lotus Forest. This place you should be very familiar with by
now.
When you step into the Lotus Forest, a red flower will spit a rock out
beside the pond. On top of this rock is Cheshire Cat. Sora asks the cat
where Alice was taken, and a bunch of other similar things, but do you think
Cheshire answered Sora's questions? No! He does, however, give Sora a couple
of hints on where to find "the shadows."
After Cheshire is finished gossiping, march to the Three mushrooms area.
Notice anything different? You should. There use to be a rock in the corner,
but now it is laying beside the pond near the entrance. Behind where the rock
was previously laying is a new exit. Go through here so you will be taken to
Tea Party Garden. If you sit in one of the seats at the table, you will get a
bunch of Munny and HP balls, as well as an Elixir.
Okay, now onto the main adventure. On the porch of the house that is
beside the table is a door, which you should now enter. Cheshire will greet
you on the other side. He tells you to turn on the lights if you want to see
the shadows. The room you are in now is actually the roof of the Bizzare
Room.
In the center of the room are two chandeliers with a lamp on each. Hop
onto the chandelier, quickly kill all the enemies that try to attack, then
"Touch" the lamp. To the same thing to the second chandelier. You have now
successfully turned on each light.
Now return to the Lotus Forest, at the entrance to the Queen's Castle.
Give the yellow flower a potion to make Sora normal size, then push the rock
into the pond. This causes two lilly pads to rise from the pond. Before you
make Sora little again, hit the large tree that is located in the center of
Lotus Forest. Make sure you only hit it once. Then force Sora to eat the
seed that makes him small.
After that, sprint up the lilly pads and over a mushroom and some brush to
reach a hidden area. In this area is a blue trinity mark, along with another
entrance to the Queen's Castle area. You can get an Aero-G from a treasure
chest in the Queen's Castle area.
Once you are finished in this part, go to Lotus Forest again, and head
towards the entrance to the Bizzare Room where you found the last piece of
evidence, which was the Claw Marks. When you enter the room, run down to
the faucet and strike it with Sora's Key. It causes water to run into a jug
at the bottom. Now, go down to the jug, and jump into the mouth of it. This
takes you to the Queen's Castle where you are able to get another set of three
dalmatians.
Next, jump off of the hedges, save the game, and head to the Bizzare Room
through the door that the two Cards is guarding. When you get into the
Bizzare Room, run over to the table, hop up on it, and talk to Cheshire Cat.
This is when the main boss fight of Wonderland occurs. Trickmaster will
appear, and Sora's gang will be engaged in battle against Trickmaster.

Trickmaster's Attacks
---------------------
Trickmaster doesn't have special, unique attacks. Trickmaster will light his
sticks (or whatever the heck they are) and hit Sora, Donald, or Goofy, or he
will just hit them with his sticks normal.
Swinging Sticks
ŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻ
This is the basic move that Trickmaster does. Trickmaster will swing one of
his arms down towards the ground, and hit one of your party members with his
flamable staff. It is easy to know when he is going to attack. Trickmaster
will straighten up his legs, then about a second later he swoops his arm down.
So, when you see his legs straighten, get away from him as quick as possible.
Fiery Furry
ŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻ
The Fiery Furry attack is the same as the Swinging Sticks attack with only one
difference: One or both of the staffs have a raging fire bursting out of
them. When Trickmaster's sticks are on fire and he hits you, it takes away a
whole lot more health than his normal Swinging Sticks attack. Use the same
method to avoid this attack as you would with the Swinging Sticks attack.
There are two different ways Trickmaster is able to light his sticks. One is
he touches the stove with them. The second is Sora casts a Fire magic spell
on Trickmaster.
-----------------
Sora's Strategies
-----------------
- Use the Target Lock function to lock onto Trickmaster's midsection.
- There are two different attacking strategies that you can use:
1.) Have Sora jump up in the air while he is under Trickmaster. When
Sora reaches the height of the jump, wield the keyblade around to
hit Trickmaster.
2.) Have Sora jump on the table, or one of the chairs, then jump off
towards Trickmaster. When you reach Trickmaster, while still in the
air, just swing the keyblade to do a physical attack.
- When you see Trickmaster's legs stiffen (straighten), make sure Sora gets
the hell out of there, because that is when Trickmaster attacks.
- If Trickmaster's staffs are ablaze, cast the Blizzard magic spell on him.
- After you hit Trickmaster so many times, he collapses. When this happens,
quickly sprint to him and continously bash him with Sora's Keyblade.
===================================
After you defeat Trickmaster, he will fall to the ground, and disappear.
This is when you will receive Ifrit's Horn. Then, the Doorknob wakes up and
asks how he is suppose to get any sleep with all the noise, but he quickly
yawns and goes back to sleep. The Keyhole to Wonderland will be sealed when
the Doorknob yawns.
Next, Chesire appears and tells Sora that Alice has disappeared into the
shadows. The next thing that happens is Sora is taken back to the first save
point of Wonderland. From here, save the game then head back to your Gummi
Ship.
Once the World Map pops up on screen, head back to Traverse Town to stock
up on things such as Potions. Then head to the World with a two star Battle
level difficutly. You should have also noticed that a new world had appeared.
It is a three star battle level rated world that is right beside Wonderland.
******* NOTE ******* IMPORTANT *******
You may want to go to the third world once you reach the boss of this world.
This way you can level up in the third world to prepare for the boss battle
against Cerberus.

After arriving at Olympus Coliseum, venture straight ahead. When you reach
the steps and columns, go to the right and leap onto the platform. You should
see a Blue Trinity Mark in front of the large statue. This trinity mark will
release a chest that contains Dalmatians 22-24. On the otherside of the
steps, behind the columns, is a treasure chest with a Mega Potion inside.
Quickly journey inside the large temple. There is a save point directly to
your left upon entering the building if you would like to save. After you
enter the building, walk up and talk to Phil. Then, walk over to the large
stone, and try to push it along the wall. Once Phil notices that you are not
able to push the stone out of the way, he will walk over and attempt to do the
same, but like Sora, he fails.
As soon as the FMV has ended, talk to Phil again to enter the trials. The
first trial has 20 barrels that you must break in 30 seconds. The second
trial is a lot more difficult than the first. Mainly because there are a few
barrles that are hard to find. In the second trial you have 55 seconds to
bust 25 barrels. The first thing you should do is run around the base of the
platforms and get all of the barrels. After that, go to where you began and
jump up on the platforms and burst all of the barrels.
Once you are on the top of the structure, look towards the entrance of the
coliseum. You should see a barrel on a floating platform. Jump on this to
get the last barrel.
Upon the completion of the two training trials, you will be engaged in an
cut-scene about how you still cannot enter the Cup. The good thing is that
you receive the Thunder magic spell. After this has finished, walk outside.
Here you will be greeted by Hades, who will give you an Entry Pass to the Cup.
Next, re-enter the building and talk to Phil. You will now enter the
Preliminaries tournament. Make sure that before you enter the Preliminaries
Sora has as many potions equipped as possible (3), but don't use any potions
through the tournament unless you absolutely have to. Save the potions for

---------------
Cloud's Attacks
---------------
Cloud only has a few attacks, but he is quick about using them. Because of
his quickness, the attacks are often hard to avoid.
Rotating Rage
ŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻ
This is a simple attack that Cloud does. He only does Rotating Rage when you
are directly in front of him. The attack is like one of Sora's combos. To
avoid this attack, when he starts doing it, just try to get out of his way
before he hits you the 2-3 times he possibly can.
Sliding Slicer
ŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻ
Before Cloud attempts this attack, he will scream out loud. So that is an
easy way to know when he is going to use this attack. When Cloud does the
Sliding Slicer attack, he stick his sword straight out, and slide over to
where Sora is. To avoid this, wait until the tip of the sword has almost
reached you, then Dodge Roll out of the way.
Leaping Lancet
ŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻ
Cloud's Leaping Lancet is a difficult attack to avoid. He seems to be able
to home into wherever you move. During this attack, Cloud leaps into the air,
jumps towards you, crashes his sword into the ground, and a lot of the time
with poor little Sora underneath. The only way I have found to avoid this
attack is to wait unitl he is about to fall down on you with his sword, then
Dodge Roll out of the way.
-----------------
Sora's Strategies
-----------------
- Use the Target Lock function to lock onto Cloud.
- To attack Cloud, quickly jumps towards him and get a couple of quick hits
in. If it is possible, do a quick combo with Sora.
- To avoid Cloud's attacks, do Dodge Rolls when he is about to connect with
Sora on an atttack.
- Remember that before Cloud does the Sliding Slicer attack that he screams
out loud.
================================
After the battle with Cloud, Hades will send the three headed monster,
Cerberus, out to kill Cloud and Sora. However, Hades' plans will be disrupted
by...HERCULES! Cloud and Sora quickly escape, but Sora will have to come back
in a minute to fight Cerberus. So, while you are free, fill up each
character's item pouches with Potions. If you have to, go back to Traverse
Town and purchase a few potions. Whenever you are ready to go back into the
Coliseum and fight Cerberus, do so. But make sure you have saved the game
before you go in.

------------------
Cerberus's Attacks
------------------
Ferocious Bite
ŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻ
This is the most common attack performed by Cerberus. Ferocious Bite is done
when each head is lowered towards the ground. The three headed monster snaps
at Sora, and his two amigos. It is easy to avoid. Simply step to the outside
of the heads.
Body Quake
ŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻ
This is another common move that is executed by Cerberus. It will rear up on
it's hind legs, then come crashing towards the ground. The impact causes a
riffle to spread out. If Sora, Donald, or Goofy are hit by the spreading
reaction, it will cause a nice amount of damage. However, like the Ferocious
Bite, this attack is easily avoided. To keep from getting hit by this attack,
leap into the air once the ripple is about to hit Sora.
Hellfire & Brimstone
ŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻ
The Hellfire & Brimstone attack is simply to avoid, albeit an annoying move on
the behalf of Cerberus. The triple headed mutt spits balls of fire in the
direction of Sora, or his two buddies. If hit by a fireball, it will take
away a moderate amount of damage. Not too much, but not hardly any. To steer
clear of the blazing orbs, stay under Cerberus when it is performing this
attack. Simple enough?
Puddle of Darkness
ŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻ
The Puddle of Darkness trick that Cerberus performs is the most annoying of
all it's attacks. You can easily tell when this move is about to be executed.
Cerberus will rear up on his hind legs, while black fog begins to pour out of
his mouth. Then, he lowers his head unto the ground. Next, puddles of
darkness form under Sora's feet, and shoots up, causing damage to Sora, or even
Donald and Goofy. To dodge getting hit by one of the puddles that form and
track you, RUN! While running, the puddles will most often form behind you,
but sometimes they appear in front of you.
-----------------
Sora's Strategies
-----------------
- Use the Target Lock function to lock onto one of the side heads of Cerberus.
- Stand to the side of Cerberus. This way Sora will not get bitten.
- Attack Cerberus when its head is down and he is trying to attack Sora.
Stand to the side while attacking. Get in a combo in between Cerberus's
snaps.
- To evade the Hellfire & Brimstone attack, dash under the big beast as soon
as the attack starts.
- To sidestep the black dog's Body Quake attack, hurdle into the upon impact.
- To elude the Puddle of Darkness attack, which happens to track Sora, run
around within the confines of the coliseum. Whenever you notice a puddle
appearing in front of you, run to the side of it.
================================
Watch Cerberus collapse on the ground after its defeat. Now, Phil tells
Sora and the gang they are eligible to compete in the tournaments. However,
Phil calls them "junior heroes," which causes Donald to raise hell about it.
Phil explains to them that they are not heroes yet. In return, then ask how
to you become a hero, but Hercules tells them they will just have to find out
on their own. After Sora, Donald, and Goofy leave the lobby, Hercules quietly
says to Phil that he had weakened Cerberus before the "little guy" arrived.
The Hero License was obtained after that little remark from Hercules and Phil.
Once outside of the Coliseum, head towards the exit. Sitting on the steps,
however, you will see Cloud. Walk up to him, and watch the cut-scene. Cloud
tells Sora that he made a deal with Hades because he is looking for "someone."
Sora, in return, tells him he is also looking for someone. When Cloud gets up
and walks away, Sora asks for a rematch sometime. Cloud also gives Sora the
Sonic Blade ability on his way out.
Now, leave the entire Olypus Coliseum level. As soon as you march through
the large wooden doors, the colors tone to a red. Then, Hades will start
chatter about Hercules being "perfect." Afterthat, a mysterious voice asks
Hades what he is worried about. The camera angle changes and allows you to
see the mysterious talking person. It is the she-devil herself, Maleficent.
Upon the completion of the above cut-scene, go to the last unknown level on
the World Map. When you are able to see the World you are heading to, the
three get in an argument on whether or not to land there. After landing in...

Sabor only has two attacks. It can be difficult to avoid due to the abundance

their simplicity.
- The first attack, Sabor will hunch down, then leap at you. This is Sabor's
"far range" attack. Just get out of the way by Dodge Rolling when he lunges
in your direction.
- The second attack is only used at close distances. Sabor will attempts to
smack Sora with one of his massive paws. This is almost impossible to avoid
once he has taken his paw back.
-----------------
Sora's Strategies
-----------------
- Use the Target Lock function to lock onto Sabor so he doesn't get out of

- Stay far away from Sabor so he will use the long range attack, which is very
easy to avoid.
- When attacking, wait until Sabor leaps at you, get out of the way, then do
a quick combo, and hurriedly get to the other end of the room.
- To avoid Sabor's long range attack, Dodge Roll out of the way when he leaps
towards Sora.
- Avoiding the short range attack is extremely difficult. When he raises his
paw up, dodge roll to the outside of the raised paw.
=============================
Whether you win or lose, Tarzan arrives to help Sora out. In the following
FMV, Sora begins to realize that he has made two new friends since his
adventure started. I will let you take a wild guess at which two friends I'm
talking about. The scene shifts to Goofy and Donald. Not much happens here,
so meh.
After the scene has endend, select Tarzan to be in your group and then
follow him off the canopy of the tree house. When you land in forest area,
you will see two exits and a save point. Take the exit in the log. It will
quickly take you to where you need to go. It is a fun "slide" if I do say so
myself.
When you are through tree sliding, and you arrive at the camp site, go
into the tent. An FMV that introduces Jane and Clayton, and reunites Sora
with his "friends," Donald and Goofy plays. After it finishes, you get to
select which two members out of Donald, Goofy, and Tarzan you would like to
have in your group. Choose whichever ones you want for now. After selecting
your party, save your game progress.
Now, go talk to Jane. She will tell you to find slides to show to Tarzan,
that way he may recgonize something about Sora's missing friends. There are
six slides altogther to find. When you first walk out of the tent, take a
left, find the picture of Tarzan, and grab the slide that is beside the
picture. Then, hop on top of the large set of boxes that is located in the
middle of campsite to get another slide. After that, go to the other side of
the tent. From here, go to the back corner to get Slide 2, which is the third
slide you will find. Next, go to the tent, climb up the suit cases that are
beside the shelter, snatch Slide 6, and then leap onto the top of the refuge.
From here, you can access the two remaining slides. One of the two slides is
located on the roof of the tent itself. While to get the other, you must hop
onto the canopy that stretches along the edge of the bamboo forest, and take
the slide that lays at the end.
In short, the locations are as follows:
Slide 1.) On top of Jane's tent.
Slide 2.) Under the canopy, in the corner.
Slide 3.) Beside the picture of Tarzan.
Slide 4.) In the center of the area, atop all of the stacked boxes.
Slide 5.) On top of the set of canopies, towards the end.
Slide 6.) At the summit of the suit cases, which is beside Jane's tent.
After you have discovered all six Slides, go back into the tent and examine
the film projector. Look at all six pictures. Sora says there is something
familiar about the pictures, but he isn't sure what it is. Clayton comes in,
and Tarzan agrees to take Sora and Clayton to the tree house. Step out of the
tent to go to the gorilla's tree house. Before you can leave the Campsite
area, you are attacked again by Sabor. Use the same strategy as you did on
your first battle with him.
Next, enter the Hippos' Lagoon area, which is located at the top left
corner, after you walk out of the tent. From here, there are two different
ways to access the tree house. I will take you through my preferred way,
which in return will get you more items. From where you walked in, you will
see a hippo sticking out of the water. Jump on the hippos back, and onto the
land across from it. Now, dive into the water and climb onto the small patch
of grassy land on the left of where you dove in at. Facing away from the
water, jump up the tree tops that are on the right of Sora.
After you reach your first treasure chest in the tree tops, jump over to
the tiny piece of ground that has another treasure chest on it. This chest
contains Dalmatians 25 - 27. Then, climb up the vine that is behind where now
gone treasure chest was. This takes you to the Vines 2 area. Kerchak becomes
upset at Tarzan because he is taking Sora, Donald, and Goofy to the "nesting
grounds." Now, proceed up the vine that is spreading up the tree Sora and the
gang are currently standing on. However, if you would like to quickly get
Dalmatians 28-30, then swing across the set of vines that are in front of you.
Then, walk along the tree tops that you land on until you reach the treasure
chest.
Once you have climbed the vine, and reached the Climbing Trees area, run
around the tree until you see an opening that you can go through. This
opening takes you to the Tree House. Clayton is about to shoot one of the
young gorillas, but luckily Donald Duck comes to the rescue. Clayton tries to
explain to everyone that there was a snake that slithered in front of the
gorilla, and that was what he was aiming for. But we all know that isn't
true, now don't we?
Now, head back to the campsite. From here, walk insdie the tent, and watch
Jane feriously fuss at Clayton. Then make sure Donald and Goofy are part of
your party, and save your progress. Then, walk outside and see what Clayton
shot at before the previous scene ended. It is now up to you to save the
gorillas from the Heartless Powerwilds. You must go to the following sites
to help out the gorillas: Campsite ; Bamboo Thicket ; Cliff ;
Climbing Trees ; and finally the Tree House. On your way, however, get the
Blue Trinities that are in the Campsite area (near the entrance to Hippos'
Lagoon), and in the Climbing Trees area (near the entrance to the Tree House
section). In the chests that appear from each trinity, you will receive two
sets of Dalmatians; 31-33 and 34-36. Now there are not any more dalmatians
to collect in the Deep Jungle World.
As soon as you have rescued all of the troubled gorillas, go into the Tent,
save the game again, talk to Jane just to hear her say "I do hope Mr. Clayton
is safe..." Well, I don't care if Mr. Clayton is safe or not, because I don't
like the guy. ;) Anyway, step back outside. When you get outside, Sora
hears a gunshot. The camera angle then points toward the Bamboo Thicket.
Does that Clayton is in the Hippos' Lagoon? Of course not, it means he is in
the Bamboo Thicket. Run into the Bamboo Thicket to see what Clayton was
shooting at.
Whenever you step into the Bamboo Thicket, you will be attacked for the
final time by Sabor.

=============================
After the last fight with Sabor, you will see an FMV where one of the
gorillas charges into the tent, wraps his/her arms around Jane, followed by
a loud gunshot in the background. If you now go back to the tent in an
attempt to find Jane, you will be unsuccessful. However, Tarzan does say that
he believes that she is somewhere near the Tree House, when in fact she is at
the Climbing Trees, which is the area you get to before arriving to the Tree
House.
This obviously means for you to head back to Hippos' Lagoon, and up to the
Climbing Trees area. When you arrive, Sora notices something suspicious about
the black fruit. So, you should have Sora auto-lock onto the large black
fruit and destroy it, while your buddies are beating up on the Powerwilds.
Once the fruit is destroyed, Jane and the gorilla are freed. Jane tells you
that Clayton is a bad, bad man. So now go back to the Campsite and prepare to
have a boss battle against Clayton. Whenever you are ready, go into the Cliff
portion of Deep Jungle and take out Clayton before he can shoot any of the
precious gorillas. To begin with, you will take on Clayton and a few
Powerwilds. This battle takes all of ten seconds to win, because of that, I'm
not going to give a strategy for the fight. However, once you have defeated
Clayton, you must fight him again because Clayton brings a special friend into
the battle, a Stealth Sneak.

Gunfire
ŻŻŻŻŻŻŻ
Clayton's one and only attack is using his gun to shoot at you. It is

because he raises his gun up to his shoulder, aims, and then fires. Just move
around when you see him through his gun against his shoulder.
-----------------------
Stealth Sneak's Attacks
-----------------------
Stealth Slide
ŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻ
This attack is when Stealth forcefully slides towards Sora, or another member
of the group. It is nearly impossible to avoid this attack when Stealth is
invisible, but easily avoidable using the Dodge Roll ability when Stealth is
visible.
Death Whip
ŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻ
The Death Whip attack is when Stealth whips his tail towards you. This is a
difficult move to evade, but Stealth does not use it a whole lot. He mainly
uses this attack when you are up close, attacking him.
Water Fountain
ŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻ
The Water Fountain attack is when Stealth Sneak rears up, and spits water at
his foes. This attack is only used towards the end of Stealth Sneaks life.
-----------------
Sora's Strategies
-----------------
- Target lock lock onto the invisible Stealth Sneak.
- Continously hit the invisible creature until he appears. Then just maintain
you strategy until you defeat Stealth Sneak.
- Once Stealth Sneak is defeated, concentrate on the much weaker opponent,
Clayton.
- Use Sora's Dodge Roll ability to steer clear of most of the attacks.
- Stealth Sneak becomes visible after a few combos have been placed on him.
- The Stealth Slide attack isn't to stealthy when the monster is visible. He
will crouch down before attacking.
- The Death Whip is another attack that is easy to see coming once Stealth
Sneak becomes visible. He sort of curls up, then whips his tail around.
- The Water Fountain attack is prepared by Stealth standing on his hind legs.
He then launches a spit of water in the direction of your party.
===============================================
Upon the defeat of Clayton and the Stealth Sneak, Clayton is smashed by the
falling Stealth Sneak. Then, one of the gorillas grab Sora, Donald, and Goofy,
and toss them onto higher ground. Tarzan follows behind them, and says that
the place is his home. Once you gain control of Sora, walk into the only

have included a map below, that isn't very good. Anyway, just make your way
up the ledges until you reach a cave marked as "???." Enter the cave and
watch the FMV that plays.

The FMV shows Tarzan learning a new word, heart. Sora seals his very first
keyhole, also. Out of the keyhole falls a mysterious gummi ship part. Not to
mention the fact that Donald gets a new girlfriend. ^_~
"Friends, same heart."
"Clayton, lose heart."
"No heart, no see friends."
"No heart, no friends."
After seeing Donald get hit on by a gorilla, the scene shifts to the evil
side of things. You hear an unknown voice asking why the Heartless were drawn
to the Deep Jungle. Malificent explains that is was because of Clayton.
Then, the unknown person is revealed, Jafar! Malificent says that Sora will
be unable to lock all of the keyholes, and then reveals a guest within their
evil cult, the kidnapped Alice! Once this part has completed, you will be
taken to a scene back at the tent where Tarzan tells Sora they are friends.
Tarzan then gives Sora the Jungle King keyblade, followed by Sora learning the
Red Trinity. Next, the gummi ship is shown. The three decide to go back to
Traverse Town. This way they can find Leon and ask him what the new gummi
ship part they discovered is used for. So now, fly back to...

...for your second main trip and depart in the Accessories Shop, so you can
save your progress up to this point.
If you talk to Yuffie, who is at the head of the steps that leads to the
Accessory Shop in the First District, she will tell you that Leon is probably
training in the underground cavern, which can be accessed by going to the
Alleyway. So, to get to the allway, head to the Second District. Enter the
hotel, then proceed into the Green Room (which consequently has a red door).
From here, just exit the door on the opposite side of the room. You are now
out in the alley. Next, you should take a right, dive into the stream once
you reach it, and march up to the large steel gate that is blocking your way
to the Underground Cavern.
In front of the gate is a Red Trinity mark. Since you just recently
learned the red trinity, go ahead and use it here. This causes Sora, Donald,
and Goofy to crash through the gate, and into the Secret Waterway. Swim
through the water, and climb up on the pile of rocks that Leon and Aeries are
standing on. Then, walk up to Leon and talk to him. Sora just blabbers about
sealing a keyhole. Once that conversation is over with, talk to Leon again.
Sora asks him about the new gummi block that was found. Leon has no clue about
it, so Aeries comes up with a great idea! Go ask Cid about it. Now you can
probably easily assume where you must go to now. Head to the Accessory Shop
in the First District and talk to Cid. But before you go, enter the archway
that is behind Leon and Aeries. In the corner where you enter at is a
treasure chest that contains Dalmatians 10-12.
Cid tells Sora and company that the gummi block is a navigation block. In
other words, with it installed on your gummi ship, you are able to visit new
worlds. He tells you that he will install it for you, however at a price.
You must deliver an "Old Book" to a man that lives in the Third District. Cid
states that the man can be found behind the door with a fire symbol on it.
Okay, so go to the third district. Get to where you are facing the large,
lit statue. From that point, take the path that is in the left corner of the
district. At the end of the pathway is the door. When Sora arrives at it,
cast 'Fire' on the door. This will unlock, and enables you to walk on in.
Once inside, jump across the large, mobile stones, that are positioned in the
water, until you reach the small island with a shack on it. Go around the
left side of the circular building until you find an entryway marked 'Empty
Room.'
When you walk inside, you shall be greeted by a surprise FMV. Sora's
long, lost love, Kairi, will meet him. She tells him that the walls of the
room they are currently in remind her of the walls they used to scrible on.
Sora asks if that is really Kairi, then an abnoxious voice from the back
screams out "Sora." This causes Sora to snap back into reality and realize
that he was only imaginig his dear Kairi talking to him.
Next, the man that you were suppose to deliver the "Old Book" to arrives.
You two quickly make acquaintances with each other. He just babbles about
the book missing a few pages, and if you find any of the missing pages, please
put them in the book. He then introduces the Fairy Godmother to you. If you
show her the Earthshine that Leon gave you, she will transform it into a
summon. The summon you receive is Simba.
Now, go back to the third district. You will be treated by a huge surprise
this time. You've met up with Riku! No, this time it isn't a simple vision.
Watch each talk about Kairi, the Keyblade, and a few other things. Once that
is finished, if you haven't already done it, unlock the large door that
connects the First and Third Districts. If you go back into the Accessories
Shop to talk to Cid, you discover that he is not in there, but at his home
which is in the Third District. That means we are heading to his home to have
a chat with Cid. Cid's home is located at the door that connects the Second
and Third Districts.
Upon arriving at the house of Cid, walk up and talk to him. He, Leon, and
Aeries will talk about Maleficent, and how she is supposedly in Traverse Town.
Do you really believe she is there? After a little bit of chit-chatting, the
scene shifts to outside the home, and you now realize that the rumors were
true. Maleficent is in Traverse Town! However, everyone inside is unable to
see her. But wait...who is that standing beside Maleficent?! Could it be?!
Yes it is! It is Riku! Maleficent is trying to talk Riku into joining the
darkside. Towards the end of the conversations, Yuffie, Aeries, and Cid tells
Sora about a legend. The legend states that something odd will happen if you
ring the bell at the top of the Gizmo Shop three times.
I bet you can't guess what we've got to do next? Wait...never mind.
Anyway, go to the second district and enter the Gizmo Shop, which is located
on the opposite side of the district from where you can enter the First
District (hopefully that made a little bit of sense ^_~). Run through the
shop, exit the door on the otherside, and climb up the ladder that you see
on the outside.
When you get to the top of the ladder, and stand on the building, you will
be attacked by a few Red Nocturnes, Blue Rhapsodies, Yellow Operas, and Green
Reqiuems. Quickly dismantle all of these heartless beings. You should see a
boarded up entryway with a Red Trinity mark on the front of it. Team up and
use the red trinity to break down the boarding to unviel the bell. Next, ring
the bell three times. On each ring, you will see the background of the
fountain change. On the third, the stone will turn into a keyhole.
Now, leap off the building and run towards the newly discovered keyhole.
Before you reach the Keyhole, however, you will be attacked by Guard Armor
again. Defeat him the same way you did on your first trip through Traverse
Town. It will only take a few shots to beat Guard Armor, but don't think you
are finished when he falls apart on the ground. Guard Armor transforms into
an even more powerful, viscious Opposite Armor.

Opposite Armor's Attacks

Gliding Guru
ŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻ
Opposite Armor's "Gliding Guru" attack is when he glides across the ground,
aiming towards you. I've only seen Opposite Armor use this attack when all
of his limbs are intact. To avoid this maneuver, Dodge Roll out of the way
before he hits you.
Blast Beam
ŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻ
This is Opposite Armor's most annoying attack, because it has homing
capabilities. Opposite Armor will use his chest to charge up a large beam
that is capable of causing massive damage. He then shoots the beam. The
beam moves in the direction you move. I've found one way to get around this
attack, and that is to wait until he is about to shoot the beam. Then, run
under him. Opposite Armor will be unable to hit you if you use the previous
method.
-----------------
Sora's Strategies
-----------------
- Use the Target Lock function to lock onto a part of Opposite Armor.
- Since there are five different parts to attack and destroy on Opposite Armor,
here is the order that I recommend you to destroy Opposite Armor.
1.) Left or Right Arm
2.) The remaining Arm
3.) Left or Right Leg
4.) The remaining Leg
5.) The Main Body/Head
- Continously do combo attacks to Opposite Armor. Watch out for him setting
up for an attack.
- Whenever you destroy a body part, a cornucopia of HP balls will appear.
Don't be stingy, unless you are extremely low on HP, because Donald and
Goofy could probably use a few HP balls.
- To avoid the Gliding Guru attack performed by Opposite Armor, wait until he
is about to run over top of you, then use Sora's Dodge Roll ability to
quickly get out of the way.
- To keep from taking damage from Opposite Armor's Blast Beam attack, sprint
under Opposite Armor after he has charged up his beam, and he is about to
shoot it at you.
=====================================
Once you beat Opposite Armor, you obtain the power of the wind, also known
as the Aero magic spell. As well as seal the keyhole for Traverse Town. Now,
head to the first district to talk to Cid. Cid will not be in the Accessory
Shop like normal, but above it. After you talk to him, leave Traverse Town.
When you load in your gummi ship, Chip 'N Dale tell you about a tournament
being held at the Olympus Coliseum. Head to the Coliseum to participate in

-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=
-=- Seed 9 -=-
-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=
This seed contains four (4) Powerwilds and three (3) Soldiers. This battle
is one of the easiest, if not the easiest, battle you will fight in. The
first thing you should do is auto-target on a Powerwild, and quickly take it
out. Destroy the other three Powerwilds before you begin to attack the
Soldiers. Once the Powerwilds are gone, rapidly destroy the remaining
Heartless, which are three Soldiers.
-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=
-=- Seed 8 -=-
-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=
The Eighth seed is almost as simple as the ninth. The first Heartless Sora
should go after in this melee is the one and only Powerwild. Then just swing
away at the two (2) Red Nocturnes, the two (2) Green Requiems, and the five (5)
Yellow Operas.
-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=
-=- Seed 7 -=-
-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=
Finally, the battles start to become more difficult. In this battle there
are four (4) Powerwilds and one set of Hammer Legs (the bottom part of Guard
Armor). I suggest that you first take out the Hammer Legs since the create
the most destruction. After the Hammer Legs are gone, eliminate the Powerwilds
one by one.
-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=
-=- Seed 6 -=-
-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=
This battle is easier than the 7th seed fight, but a tad bit harder than
the Monkey & Magic brawl. Watch out for the lightning magic spells cast by
the Yellow Operas and the fire magic spells thrown by Red Nocturne. Try to
hit as many of either with one hit. This makes the battle a whole lot
shorter.
-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=
-=- Seed 5 -=-
-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=
The Fifth seeded brawl can get annoying because of the Large Body that must
be defeated. There are five Powerwilds and one Large Body in this fight. I
suggest that you take out the Powerwilds first since the Large Body does not
have any true attacks buy hitting you with his belly when you get too close.
So this means stay away from the Large Body until you have defeated all five
of the Powerwilds.
-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=
-=- Seed 4 -=-
-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=
Is there really much of a difference between the difficulties of these
battles?! Take out the set of Guantlets first, then the three Blue Rhapsodies
so they will get casting the annoying Blizzard spell. Finally, destroy the
remaining four Shadows. And that is all for the Hard Hitters battle.
-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=
-=- Seed 3 -=-
-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=
Are you getting tired yet? Are you running out of potions and ethers? You
shouldn't have had to go through too many of each so far, and the future is
looking even clearer. There are six Green Requiems that need first priority.
Once that objective has been accomplished, you can start in on the remaining
Heartless, which are two Large Bodies.
-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=
-=- Seed 2 -=-
-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=
The Wild Corps fight, or second seeded battle if you wish, is the most
difficult brawl in the Phil Cup so far. In this battle, you must defeat
a set of Gauntlets as well as a set of Hammerlegs, but if that isn't enough,
you've got to fend off four Powerwilds hoping around like monkeys. Wait...
that was a bad pun. The first thing I have to state is forget about the
Powerwilds for now. Donald and Goofy will end up taking care of them. You
should concentrate on attacking the Hammerlegs and the Gauntlets. I suggest
annihilating the Gauntlets first since, in my opinion, they are the must
destructive, followed by taking out the Hammerlegs. Finally, if there are
still Powerwilds left, kill them with your Keyblade.
-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=
-=- Seed 1 -=-
-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=
You have finally reached the last battle of the Phil Cup. Theoretically,
this is suppose to be the toughest fight, when in reality it actually is. ;)
There are four Yellow Operas, four Blue Rhapsodies, and an intimidating
Armored Torso that is off of Guard Armor. I suggest that the first you should
take out the Yellow Operas and Blue Rhapsodies. This prevents Sora and his
two other friends from continously being hit by Thunder and Blizzard magic
attacks while trying to take out the Armored Torso. Once the Yellow Operas
and Blue Rhapsodies have been annihilated, you are left with just one more
enemy to defeat...the Armored Torso.
Once you have won the Phil Cup tournament, left the Coliseum, and you are
viewing the World Map, select the Warp Hole, which is located in between Deep
Jungle and Olympus Coliseum, to take Sora and the gang to...

When the world of Agrabah is first shown, the screen will display Jafar and
Malificent discussing the Keyhole located in Agrabah. Then Iago flies in and
tells Jafar that Jasmine, the princess of Agrabah, has disappeared. Jafar
says not to worry about her, but then he changes his mind after Malificent
states that they need all seven princesses of heart. While walking away,
Malificent warns Jafar about how the Heartless consume the careless. You
then notice Jasmine hiding behind a counter, listening in on the conversation
that just took place.
"Don't steep yourself in darkness too long."
"The Heartless consume the careless."
Okay, after the FMV, you will be placed at the Plaza area of the town
fighting Bandits. If you walk in the door that is left to the entrance of
the 'Main Street,' you will find a save point and a couple of other items.
Enter Main Street, run to the cross walk, take a left, and enter the Alley.
Sora discovers Jasmine hiding behind a pile of boxes. Their brief discussion
is quickly broken up by Jafar, who sends Bandits after Sora, Donald, and
Goofy. Now, run back to Main Street. When you get to the cross-walk, look to
your upper-right. You will see a large, stone platform beside a pot. Jump up
on the stone, and continue to leap up the series of stones that you see. Upon
reaching the top, you will see a pole. Climb up the pole to enter Aladdin's
House.
Inside Aladdin's House is a save point, a small green box that contains
Dalmatians 37-39, and a magic carpet trapped under a cabinet. Get the
Dalmatians, and then move the cabinet that rests a top the magic carpet. The
carpet then flies out through a window, and towards the desert. Donald gets
the bright idea to follow the carpet. Gee, Donald sure is a genius. Anyway,
leap out the window, exit Main Street back to the Plaza area. From here,
simply continue to sprint forward into the desert. When you enter the desert,
the magic carpet will appear, as well as a temporary save point.
Walk up to the magic carpet and talk to it. The carpet will give you a
ride. When you arrive, you see Aladdin sink into quicksand. Sora will then
have
